The Royal Hotel

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrive, we were suppose to choose between twin room or double room and there is no double room available and we were in advance. Then in the room, no shampoo, no soap, the AC was not working well and made a terrible noise even on sleep mode. An old elevator always busy so we had to carry our suitcases ourselves to the 2nd floor. They said a parking was available for the customers but it was full so we had to go park somewhere else. The food especially for breakfast was not good. The tea bags in the room were already open. And the cups were not cleaned (I let you observe the pictures). Apart from the bed being comfortable (but separated from my partner)and the view there was nothing that we have appreciated. Though, It’s not far from Corfu town by car about 15 minutes.

Very clean place from food to rooms to the hotel through (elevator, halls, toilets, food areas, reception and bar) staff were very nice and quick to help with and keep place tidy. The security man was also very good keeping the bar area under control. Location close to bustop and few other restaurants. Will be back

Stayed at the Royal grand for 3 days only with my son , a bit worried as there were a lot of negative reviews , very close to the airport so transfer time is low , close to runway , some aircraft noise but we did enjoy take offs and landings ( very few late at night , aircraft activity Starts approx from 8am . ) on arrival we checked in approx 9pm found We had a double bed for my son and myself which was not the hotels fault as the company I booked the holiday did not inform them for the Twin room I asked for , the lady on the reception ( who was very nice , And pleasing to the eye !!!! ) sent up a member of staff to seperate us ! Next day we were given a different room . There is a small tax fee but I don’t think that is the hotels fault , Staff were all great and friendly all spoke good English probably better than me , a big thank you to Marianna who works the pool bar , she Is a really good worker and nice lady also David who runs the main bar. The food is ok I never had a problem or went hungry , very clean resteraunt playing some nice chilling music whilst you eat . Rooms are clean beds comfy , pool area very clean ( I was going to do a bit off weeding while I was there ! )all in all this hotel is great for its price , if you want luxury then book the hotel around the corner on the top of the hill and pay 4 x as much for non inclusive . Once again A big thank you to all the staff .

Im so happy we chose to stay in this hotel . We came on a 4 day trip and the hotel staff was so helpful in guiding us on what activities were around / what restaurants/ cafes we should try out. They were very helpful on explaining what buses to take. The rooms were clean , the restaurant and bar was clean. The staff was so welcoming . Want to say a big thanks to Mariana , David and Marjo . We had a wonderful time !

The whole experience was amazing. Hotel room was beautiful. Amazing staff and excellent service. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The scenery is spectacular and the drinks are so tasty. Near the Corfu town which is an easy commute to the hotel. Thank you Mario, Lenka for my stay and David for the drinks.

Horrible experience absolutely disappointed with hotel facilities, poor choice of buffet me and partner both vegetarian had limited choice of dinner. No indoor swimming pool very noisy with aeroplane, not lot to do near hotel have to take bus to town centre. Toilet blocked many times they moved us to different room same issue this time shower flooded.. they take room tax upon arrival usually some hotel charge after u check out, not coming back I’m done with the poor service

Right so here we go: The rooms/bathroom: Rooms generally nice, clean, white bed sheets. Me and my bf stayed in a standard room and had view of airport runway. Rooms are basic, so bed, tables, mirror, they had tiny bottles of olive oil shampoos so defo bring ur own toiletries and would recommend bringing ur own soap or anti bac as it’s like a soap bar the size of a coin. Shower was nice sometimes had to wait a while to get the hot water, toilets clean, a small hair dryer which is attached to the bathroom wall which was abit inconvenient but note to bring my own next time. Towels provided every day. Balcony ect. Had a noisy fridge but wasn’t a problem. I was abit shocked about the less of things we have in the room like no kettle, fresh water bottles! Ect. But this is again a 3 star hotel. The hotel itself: Hotel has a nice cosy feel to it, blue lobby and bar downstairs where you can drink at night, then you have the dining area, there are steps on all floors the windy ones so be careful on them, and a 3 person lift which is slow but does its job. The pool: The pool is across the road from the hotel and down some steps, has two levels the first has a pool bar and the lady there is lovely, so nice and accommodating, never complains. Then there’s a grass area with some sun loungers on and then down some more steps the actual big pool area with quite a few beds. I would say the decking is very hot when walking into the pool my feet were burning but should have just used my slides, pool it’s self is fine, very very cold but nice when you get in, I did find abit off putting was the amount of bugs that was in the water, and wasps attacking us lol. The food/all inclusive factor: Do not eat here if you are a fussy eater or bring children as there would be nothing for them to eat. The variety was very poor and they had a dish for kids every day so one day there would be ‘fish fingers’ the next day ‘chicken nuggets’ and then that’s all we saw whilst our stay. 2 of 7 of the days they had chips as an option but mainly just pasta, rice, potatos, and salads. I attempted the food but one time my chicken was raw so was very off putting. Multiple times they was collecting my plates which was full and said ‘you don’t like??’ The women in the hall didn’t speak much English and there was this big man guarding the food it was weird lol but alright fair enough. I knew going on this holiday the food wasn’t going to be good but cmon, it was non edible. In the dining hall there was a drinks corner which had tea coffee, apple juice, water, orange juice and beer on tap. No pepsi or anything but I believe u can go to the bar and bring a drink in with you to eat with. So, the drinks aspect, I felt the drinks options were pretty fair and even if not on menu they would still try and accommodate you, there is no limit how many drinks u can have and even have drinks to take to your room.
