Corfu Imperial, Grecotel Beach Luxe Resort

Beautiful room with great views. The range of food available at the breakfast buffet was impressive. The staff were very friendly and professional. Loukia from Guest Services was particularly attentive and helped to make our stay a very pleasant experience.

We visited in May 2024 Location: You definitely need to hire a car if you want to see any of the Island. This hotel is very isolated, and unlike many others that I have stayed in previously, there was unfortunately nowhere to walk to nearby, and we were advised by reception that although there was a bus stop around 1 mile away we shouldn’t walk there as the roads are not safe to do so (no footpaths). This we hadn’t really well researched in advance and we made assumptions about accessibility so please do be aware. If you are happy to just stay at the hotel then this is definitely the place for you. The hotel did have a shuttle bus twice a day to Corfu Town (1/2 hour drive away). However this only has 19 seats so it is essential to book using the hotel app, and this I would recommend you do on arrival or you will not get a place (we were not visiting peak season and it was booked up days in advance - maybe they add more buses in peak season?). The hotel will also arrange taxis however this is a pretty expensive solution to getting out and about. Rooms: We had a seaview room in teh main building and we had a lovely view Cleanliness: Can’t fault the level of cleanliness throughout the hotel it was immaculate Food: For me this was a BIG disappointment. We stayed half board and pretty much saw the same dishes most evenings. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. Compared to other hotels of a similar standing I would say this was the worst I have stayed at. We also had to wait a few times for tables to become available, and considering we did not stay in peak season I can only imagine it must be much worse in busy periods Staff: Extremely friendly and helpful Pools: The pools are well maintained with life guards and staff servings refreshments etc. The main pool was really noisy with kids screaming a lot of the time, there is a smaller pool next to it which is signposted as ‘Adults Only’ but in reality it is still within earshot of the main pool so wasn’t great! Grounds: Immaculate Ambiance: Lacks soul, it feels functional but there is no atmosphere in the bar etc.

We have just come back from 7 days at this amazing hotel. We have had a full 5 star experience with amazing rooms, one over looking the sea and the other over looking a very quiet pool. We where booked into another hotel which was not good at all, but even with it being half term the amazing team at the front desk managed to find 2 amazing rooms for our stay. On our last day we had a very boozy lunch at the Trattoria and the food was so good but the puddings where even better. Evi (Eva) in the restaurant was so amazing, I am not sure how she works this hard but still makes you feel that you are the first guest she has seen that morning or afternoon. The pools, restaurants and bedrooms were just perfect. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so lovely.

We have returned from a really wonderful week staying at the fabulous hotel. The moment we arrived, we felt instantly relaxed. We were in the half board plan (our view is that without it, you’ll spend a fortune in food). The breakfast range was extensive and the dinner buffet was incredible. I was anticipating to get bored of dinner, thinking it would be a repeat of food every day, however, during our week stay there were different options each day. The staff were super helpful and friendly. By the end of the week, the hotel got busier (as UK school holidays began) and the standard of service did slip (eg no one would take our drink order or it became difficult to get someone’s attention), however, this should not take away from how welcoming the staff were. There was a slight disconnect between the events and what the staff knew - for example, we asked when the outdoor cinema was showing but was told it was not the season. However, later in the week, we went for a walk to find that the outdoor cinema was running. The water facilities were fantastic - James took us on a wonderful snorkelling trip. We have recommended this hotel to everyone and look forward to our return!

My friends and I were celebrating our 'roundy' birthdays this year and our treat to ourselves was a beautiful week at Corfu Imperial Grecotel Beach Luxe Resort. From the moment we arrived at the resort the service was excellent. Our check in was efficient and friendly and included welcome drinks and nibbles. We met our personal concierge Joanna, who looked after our every need the whole week through. She anticipated our needs before we did! She was very professional, friendly and extremely efficient. Our villa was not ready when we arrived and she arranged for us to have lunch and a bottle of prosecco courtesy of the hotel, which was a lovely touch. Our villa was beautiful and I could write an essay about the facilities etc. but to borrow from another guests review 'The villa itself was exceptionally well presented, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with well chosen stylish furniture and accessories'. We had a private pool and five steps down to the beautiful private beach. Each morning a kind gentleman would leave towels for the guests on the sun loungers. He would return regularly with a smile and complimentary water and grapes! Bar service was also available from the sun loungers by scanning a QR code. The food served at the Corfu Imperial was excellent. We had Dine Club as part of package which allowed us half board in the hotel. Every morning we started off the day with the superb breakfast buffet. This took an hour and a half most mornings between beautiful food and great company. We varied our dining in the evenings between the buffet and the various a lá carte restaurants on the site including one in the picturesque Danilia Village. The staff were always friendly, ready to help and nothing was too much trouble. Unparallel service. In particular Afrodite in Trattoria and Alexandros was there with a smile and several pots of coffee each morning for breakfast. We had wanted something special for our birthday celebration and that is what we truly got. It will remain in our memory for a long time to come. We hope to visit again and we would highly recommended the Corfu Imperial for your stay in Corfu.

What a great hotel. In a beautiful position with so many different areas to relax. Never had to fight for a sunbed and also lots of space too. Food was of very good quality and plentiful. We really enjoyed the food in the buffet and the lunches at Yali beach restaurant were lovely. Also great were the facilities- a well equipped gym and some great classes with Alyona who made Aqua classes great fun and the Tabatha class was also excellent. Hope she is still there for next year as we are hoping to return. Only word of complaint was the size of the bath towels!!!

Pros: nature around the site is beautiful. Plenty places to rest and enjoy life Cons: find some broken glass instead of ice in my coffee frape! Pretty scary and dangerous. Staff did nothing. No reaction! Room a bit oldish. Air cond broke down at night and water started dropping from ceiling. Reception gave towels but couldnt repair at night. Dropped all night! I guess it happends They charge eur5 per person per night as extra charges. Could bot explain why. Taxes are taken but do bot appear on the bill!!!!!!!! That is a fraud or hotel staff stealing, I dont know!?!? Employees at the italian restaurant are not the most helpful. Service tok 2 hours for a starter and a main course. Had the feeling we bothered then! Had to request my changed also as it wasnt coming back after 10 mins!!!!! Training with loud music in the pool in the morning isn’t necessary! Its not a club so far as i know! Was told off in the evening in the main restaurant for not being dressed properly. No one told us there wa s dress code although we were dressed with trousers and tshirt. But they said: you pass for tonight but its for tomorrow! So rude!

It was our first visit to the Corfu Imperial . The hotel was outstanding and the service provided by all members of staff was exemplary - the best level of service we have ever received. The hotel is based on a peninsular with breath taking views. We will definitely return.
