A little treasure after a long drive! Quaint but modern bed and breakfast with lots of thought going into a guest's stay. Our room was TINY (it was a basic room) but very comfortable and beautifully styled. It's a very old building so lots of creaks etc but once you get used to it no issues. There's a wine/ honesty bar area, free snacks, delicious cookies and a couple of lounge areas. The backyard fire pit was a favorite with a bottle of wine. Breakfast was delicious - made to order although there wasn't a choice. The best thing is the location. We arrived on a summer Saturday and Kennebunkport was heaving. The Inn is a 10 minute leisurely walk to Kennebunkport but away from all the noise and bustle. Chez Rosa a few doors down was excellent for dinner too. Would recommend!

My husband and I stayed last week and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Diane and Carmen are such warm and friendly hosts. The yummy breakfast filled our tummies so we had energy to explore (within walking distance!) the beautiful area shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the comfortably clean decor and lovely gardens. Early morning walks at the beach with our four-legged child were fun and invigorating. We highly recommend The Inn at English Meadows and can't wait to go back!

I recently stayed at The Inn at English Meadows and it was one of the highlights of my summer. It is as beautiful as it looks in the photos online, but best of all is the service. The Inn's owner is fabulous - warm, thoughtful, professional, attentive, kind. I was thrilled to hear that the Inn has been nominated as one of the 10 best B&B's in the US by Newsweek this year! The Inn is walking-distance to town, spotless, has every amenity you need and then some, a delicious breakfast that is included, and I enjoyed all of the other guests I interacted with. It felt like a home away from home, with peace and quiet :)

My wife and I travel fairly frequently, and we have often used the "Select Registry" website (and printed annual guidebook before the internet) as our guiding light over the past thirty years. Thankfully, that's how we discovered the wonderful Inn at English Meadows. Our 7 day -- 6 night stay was absolutely perfect in every possible way, and we are already looking forward to our next visit. The inn itself is delightful, and our "Tranquility Suite" on the second floor of the Carriage House was simply sublime. Both the inn's indoor and outdoor public spaces are beautiful, and the location is ideal, ..... walking distance to Kennebunkport's Dock Square with all its great restaurants, shops, galleries, and "tourist attractions." Every one of our six breakfasts was yummy delicious, with each of the two courses perfectly prepared and with terrific day to day variety. The "pay as you drink" wine cruvinet in the lobby was an added bonus, with a very nice selection of four reds and four whites to satisfy our palates. The special food and wine pairing dinner was incredible, as Chef Kathy and Sommelier Betsy were at the top of their games. And to top it all off was the professionalism and high standards of the inn's staff. Diane, the inn's owner, was a delight to deal with as we planned our visit and secured our restaurant reservations, --- Violet and the kitchen crew served us so very well each morning with friendship and smiles --- Carmen, the on-site innkeeper was absolutely amazing in every possible way, doing her job with the highest level of tender loving care and making us feel so very comfortably like family. So, the bottom line .... do we recommend the Inn at English Meadows ? Yes indeed ! Absolutely 100 %.

Fantastic inn. Room was roomy and impeccably clean. Common lounge area was well appointed and had wine, beer, etc. for purchase. Prices very reasonable. Breakfast on patio was divine—two gourmet courses. Nice little touches—bikes, rockers on porch, cookies on patio deck, fire pit. Very quiet—far enough away from hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to downtown. Carmen (innkeeper) is amazing. Makes you feel at home and is always there for anything you might need. She ensures the inn runs smoothly yet makes time to interact with guests. Would stay here again and again!

We had a lovely stay. Carmen took good care of us and made sure that we had a beach pass and chairs when we went to the beach. The Inn is clean and nicely decorated. We were in Room 9, up top in the Carriage House with a bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom and private porch. There’s a Nespresso machine and also one in the common area. The stairs are very steep getting up to Room 9, so be aware of that. They have comfy robes and a wood stove which we didn’t need in July. There’s a really nice wine dispenser where you can buy a taste or a glass of red or white wine. Nice touch. We walked to town one night for dinner, it’s close. Breakfast was very good, 2 courses every morning. Creative fare and lots of good coffee. We met really nice people at breakfast, mostly couples but a few families had small children. There are 2 EV charging stations (free), also a nice touch.
