I was pleasantly surprised to find my room was actually as nice as the website photos would have you believe. Perhaps the photos make it look slightly swankier than the old cottagey building will allow, but the room itself was very clean, spacious and in excellent condition. All fitted-out nicely, and the shower was great. It was a hot day, and unfortunately the room was also hot. With just a tiny window at the front and one at the back in the bathroom, I struggled to get fresh air through. The hotel is on the main road through Kenilworth, and the traffic starts EARLY! Again, lovely old building, with thin single-pane windows. They have fitted another sliding glass panel over but it isn't very effective at keeping the noise out. Breakfast was a reasonable continental style, with cereals, some fruits, croissants and a lot of cake, for some reason. It was enough, and meant I didn't stuff myself with too much food. Parking around the back of the hotel, located down a side street, and I struggled to find it. There are six spaces in a 3x2 grid, so there is some juggling to do if someone wants to get out. The hotel will do this for you if you leave the keys with them. The staff were great, helping with finding the carpark, and sorting the tv for me!

Sadly, very disappointing. Several years ago, I regularly stayed at The Kenilworth, when it prided itself on being ahead of the game. Gorgeous rooms with coffee machines and luxurious bathrooms with brilliant showers. Sadly, the attention to detail is gone. The removal of the coffee machines immediately lowered the bar, with UHT milk & coffee sachets in place instead. And the delicious continental breakfast from times gone by, replaced with below average croissants in packaging or more packaged cakes/wafers. (That was on the two of the four mornings when the breakfast was served - the other two had no breakfast offer at all) No explanation was given other than the hotel is closed on Sundays - no offer of a refund for the lack of breakfast was offered either. Maybe I should have investigated further when I saw that the name had changed from The Kenilworth to 61 Warwick Rd.

My husband had an overnight stay at this lovely hotel. He was on a course and needed to get an early start so thought better to stay in a hotel. We had tried to find a Premier Inn or something similar but they were all expensive. Well thank goodness they were, this was a much better option. He was delighted with his room, spacious and spotless with a huge shower. The breakfast was perfect and he would recommend it to anyone.

Stayed overnight on the cocktail package with missed and my son before going to Warwick Castle and was worried based on some of recent negative reviews but it was amazing. Checked in at 4pm ample parking at back of hotel given we went midweek so can't comment on posts moaning about this. Room we was in is separate house at back of pub garden where you park. Nice king size bed with a TV, sky and modern bathroom with elemis toiletries. Cocktails were amazing, simple rules don't double park or take the mick constantly ordering the most expensive cocktails other than that were all inclusive and could even order classic cocktails not on the menu. This was from 6pm-11pm, as we were off next day out we stopped at 9 but bar staff were lovely and some of the cocktails bloody strong! Cocktails all completey special even in their own unique pre frozen glasses, not your typical two for one like in pubs these are proper cocktails. Breakfast was basic but enough to fill you up with cerial toast and other lil bits (don't expect full English) but honestly for price it was well worth the £199 for overnight stay and cocktails.

Booked in for a brief stay when visiting family in the area, but were delighted. The service on arrival was personable and attentive, and throughout our stay everybody was friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well taken care of. Our room was clean and comfortable with all modern amenities, whilst retaining the original features and charm of the building. The bath in particular was incredible! All things are made better by cocktails, which the bar downstairs excels at. Will be coming back for a longer stay if only to work our way through the drinks menu.

Excellent place to visit the area. The hotel is small but perfectly formed, well appointed rooms set over a couple of buildings. Our room was exceptionally clean and had sky TV and a wet room, even had its own patio, bathed in the morning sun, just perfect for your morning coffee. Breakfast is only continental but this wasn't an issue with us. All the staff we met were excellent, all so friendly. The cosy cocktail bar is superb, excellent choice of drinks but the staff would make anything you requested. Can't praise everyone at the hotel enough, thanks for a warm and welcoming stay
