Glenholmekendal

Spent the weekend here for Kendal music festival and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The host (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name) is a lovely women, very helpful and attentive and the room was very well presented and had everything we needed, plus little added extras which made it so much more. The cooked breakfast was beautiful with fresh fruits, cereals, crackers and cheese. The guesthouse is a 10/15 minute walk into Kendal and we will certainly be back next year 😉

The loveliest owner was so welcoming and chatty which made us feel so comfortable for our whole stay! In a great area and the rooms are absolutely stunning and spotless comfortable beds and delicious food will definitely return! Thankyou!!

Stayed for 2 nights in room 5 - lovely warm welcome by the host! Free parking on site. The room was immaculately clean and literally had everything you could need - nice touch to have water and fresh milk in fridge plus loads of different teas/instant coffee and fresh coffee/cafetière, biscuits and chocs too! . Big fluffy towels and toasty warm inside the whole time we were there! Location is great it’s roughly 15 min stroll into town centre, bus stop right outside too for venturing further afield. Breakfast was outstanding, amazing fruit selection and the cooked breakfast was excellent, fresh organic produce (you could taste how good quality eggs bacon sausage was) nothing was too much trouble and even provided lactose free milk for my partner to have cereal - this place would take some beating tbh! So friendly and genuinely fabulous host! What more could you want

Beautiful and spacious room with a modern well appointed bath....warming grill for towels and fluffy robes! The view was nice with a college across the street but it was quiet and the bed was heaven! The host, Glynis, is a lovely and kind host...her breakfasts are amazing! Loved staying here and visiting the town and lake district. Nice little car park behind B&B but get direction. Walk to town and view the scenic river...Tour the old castle and eat in the local restaurants....

We were there for five nights. The rooms are comfortable and quiet. We had a fridge in ours, which is very useful for a B&B stay. A great deal of thought has gone into what is provided, for example plates, cutlery, tin openers etcetera in case you want to eat in. There were a few nice touches like the complementary Kendal Mint Cake (which sadly I forgot to take) and the box of Lindt chocolate mini eggs because we were there during the Easter break There is a bus stop for the Kendal bus almost opposite the house and a good restaurant and pub a few minute's walk away (Romney's). Be warned there are no ground floor rooms if you really struggle with stairs. The shower is walk in. The best feature of our stay was the breakfast provided. Lots of fresh fruit, a wide range of cereals, yoghurts, an excellent cooked breakfast and last but not least, Glenys, a warm and welcoming host.

A warm welcome awaits at Glenholme. We had a lovely, large room at the front of the property which was clean and comfortable and nicely furnished. Road noise is a bit bothersome at the front due to single glazing so take earplugs. Nice touches with the tea/coffee and treats, with milk in the fridge. Breakfast was good and there is parking to the rear. B&B is within 10 minute walk to Main Street. Overall a very nice stay.
