We booked the hotel spontaneously for an overnight stay and a visit to Bamberg. Shortly before arrival I received an email saying that the reception was no longer manned and that I would receive an access code for the door. The car park is on a gravel lot and the hotel is reached via a footpath. When we arrived and somehow got to the room with the access code, a small, very unkempt room with a bathroom in need of renovation awaited us. As we noticed on arrival that there were many Hungarian and Polish vans in the car park with us, the condition of the rooms will not bother them for an overnight stay. The rooms are very thinly soundproofed, from the guests in the next room, whose every word you could hear, to the guest above us who snored very loudly. The room was freezing cold, the heating didn't work. The bathroom was also freezing cold, so that the window in the bathroom was so fogged up the next morning that the water was running down. The breakfast was simple, the juice was almost empty, but that didn't seem to bother anyone because no member of staff was seen at breakfast. We would definitely not book here again.
