Headfort Arms Hotel

Great little hotel and the spa is just excellent, rooms was a little let down cups was still dirty and rubbish behind lockers but all in all was on

We had a great night, had food in the restaurant, top class. Music in the bar was good, then dj in the other bar later on.

We had a wonderful time. The room was lovely. the staff were excellent. Buses going from just outside the hotel so easy to get around. Food excellent.

I recently stayed at the Headfort Arms in Kells while on fieldwork. In short, I was very pleased with the experience and will return again. The hotel is located adjacent to the bus to Dublin, there are taxi services and a local link bus service, so it is well connected. I normally wouldn't be overly concerned about decor, but I must say this hotel looks the part inside and out. There's a homely atmosphere when you go in the front door to reception - very warm and welcoming, and comfortable seating if you need to wait. The staff were all excellent, especially the servers in the bar/restaurant. The food was great - I'm vegan, and this was no problem. The rooms are very nice and kept clean. The only complaints, if you can call them that, are that the bath shower would leak when you ran the bath tap, and the air conditioning was a little loud at night. But these are very minor quibbles in what was a very good experience over all. I would happily recommend the Headfort Arms to friends and family, and will be back soon myself, because this hotel is a great base for my own work in the north east of the country.
