Ich hatte während meiner Dienstreise spontan List auf ein Stück Kuchen. Ich suchte mir das Café am Donautor aus. Beste Entscheidung des Tages. Super leckere Himbeerschnitte 7nd sehr freundliche Bedienung. Auch das Ambiente ist sehr schön und die Preise wirklich ok.

Ja, bekannt ist mir das Kelheimer Café am Donau-Tor schon eine geraume Weile und so buchte ich uns kürzlich auch mal in eines der dortigen Gästezimmer ein, allerdings ohne eine Reservierungsbestätigung zu erhalten. Dennoch freundlicher Empfang am Anreisetag. Der Zugang zu den in der 2. Etage gelegenen Zimmern ist allerdings durch einen wenig attraktiven Nebeneingang und nur über 2 steile Steintreppen möglich, was sich mit Gepäck und für ältere Menschen doch etwas schwierig gestaltet. Ein Lift wäre da schon schön gewesen. Das Zimmer war großzügig bemessen, normal ausgestattet, wobei das Bad aber, trotz Badewannen-dusche, positiv ins Auge fiel. Gute Betten und Matratzen sorgten für angenehmen Schlaf und das vom sehr freundlichen Personal am Tisch servierte Frühstück verdient mehr als ein Lob, zumal man Sonderwünschen gegenüber aufgeschlossen ist. Alles in allen also empfehlenswert für jüngere und „sportlichere“ Gäste.

Tolles Cafe, sehr nett eingerichtet, gemütlich mit freundlicher Bedienung und einer riesigen Auswahl an leckeren Torten und Kuchen. Auch Pralinen oder ein Bier gibt es dort. Das Cafe ersteckt sich über 2 Etagen und oben gibt es sogar eine Spielecke für Kleinkinder.

Das macht sehr Laune, wenn man als Hotelgast auf so eine herzliche Belegschaft trifft, die uns von A bis Z super betreut haben. Unser Zimmer groß, hell, freundlich eingerichtet, bequemes Bett, kleines Bad und alles sehr angenehm ruhig. Wir haben super gut geschlafen und das Frühstück im hauseigenen Cafe war super lecker und für uns perfekt. Wir kommen sicher wieder nach Kelheim und in dieses schöne Hotel und Cafe
