Mediterranee

Location of the hotel was perfect. The beach hotel was fantastic. Price for three beds and umbrella was €11, this was discounted for hotel guests. Hotel pool not so good I’m afraid. Not that big, and you’re not even allowed to take any inflatables or balls into pool. However you can use balls in the toddler pool. Rooms are really dated. But i will say extremely comfortable and clean. Air conditioner works really well and there is a safe, but you will have to carry key around for this, as it doesn’t have code activation. Breakfast was okay for myself and my partner. However my 13 year old wasn’t amused. Lovely outside terrace to eat at. I am glad that we didn’t go half board, we decided against this because of the choice of restaurants near hotel. And eating out at this resort is a must! You won’t be disappointed. Bar at hotel was little expensive if you’re having cocktails. Pint of Lager was around €4. Cicadas were an absolute nuisance. Just an annoying noise all day every day by pool and beach areas. Airport transportation was around 10 minutes, which was great. You do get several planes flying over hotel, but it doesn’t bother you that much. Overall our stay was amazing and would definitely recommend this place to stay, maybe not with little ones though, as the pool area may not be to their liking due to it being quite small and not being able to play with a ball or inflatables.

Another lovely holiday at Mediteranee. On arrival they had accommodated us with a room with a walk in shower, due to mobility issues. We had an inland view which overlooked the little Chapel not the carpark. The reception area and dining room had been refurbished. Never had an issue with sunbeds, Thanos was such a lovely guy making us laugh every morning. Perfect location and very relaxing. We were Half Board but we didn't think the evening meals were as good as last year. We choose to eat out 3 out of our 7 nights. We also felt the breakfast was never hot, mostly luke warm. If we return back in the future we will choose to go Bed & Breakfast. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Fortunately we had chosen a sea view room , the remainder are at the rear and overlook the car park . Breakfast was very good with multiple choices to suit all tastes ,only minor complaint was that "bacon" was some sort of fried thin ham . We did not eat in the hotel for dinner because we are not keen on buffet style and there are multiple restuarants in the immediate vicinity all serving very good meals ,we never spent more than 65euro on 2 course meal for 2 including wine. Beach area was very crowded so after one visit we used nearby Gradakia (8 euro taxi ) which was smaller with a nice cafe . We went with TUI, suggest you use the local company half way up the hill if you want any trips, 40% cheaper and very good english speaking guide and the same itinerary. There is a bit of a hill to climb from hotel to main road but we did not find it a problem and we are both a bit long in the tooth

We stayed at the Mediteranee for one week at the end of August in a sea view room. A beautiful view and excellent location if you like to be close to the tavernas (very reasonable) and souvenir shops. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Food was very nice whether breakfast or dinner. We were half board although chose to eat out for dinner quite a bit. Very friendly and helpful team. We went on a couple of lovely trips - Ithaca and Fiskado, Myrtos and Assos. You can save if you book at the local agents. We liked the agent up the hill, turn left and walk along to the shop with the TV screens outside. They tend to have smaller groups (medium bus size rather than coach and Vanna the guide was excellent)! Argostoli is a short taxi ride or around 20 mins walk when its not too hot and it was lovely to see a couple of sea turtles by the fishing boats. We met some lovely people and really enjoyed our stay. We had a massage at the hotel Lorenzo up the hill (2mins) Morfeas which was a nice treat. The beach was beautiful (nurturing sea turtle eggs monitored by volunteers even though the beach was open). Sometimes we had loungers and other times we set up on the sand which was fine and the locals tend to bring their own parasols/chairs etc. There was a nice breeze in the afternoons. The Ionian sea is beautiful and very clear.

Just returned from another amazing stay at this hotel, which enjoys an enviable beachfront location. We always book a sea view room—the sunsets are absolutely stunning. The front desk staff are warm, friendly, and always helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Our room was a good size, with comfortable beds and efficient air conditioning. The housekeeping team did a great job keeping it spotless, with regular changes of linen and towels. The recently refurbished dining room is beautifully laid out, which made mealtimes even more enjoyable. We were looked after by Jerry, Maria, and Angelos, who were always polite and took the time to chat with us. We stayed on a half-board basis, and there was always a good variety of food—compliments to the chef and his team! The hotel bar had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Lambros and his team ensured everyone had a great evening. The musicians who performed at the Greek evening were excellent as well.

A second visit to the Mediterranee hotel Lassie have recommended it to friends and some of my friends are visiting this week. On a arrival I got a welfare taxi arrival was about 30 minutes ahead of the bus, the room wasn't quite ready and we had to wait about 30 minutes but when we got to the room we were give a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine with compliments of the hotel.Nice touch. The staff are excellent the cleaners friendly and hardworkers all are a pleasure. Great pool and beach area i intend to return next year. Visited Ithika a must when in Kefalonia early start but reception woke us. We were on bed and breakfast food was of a good standard and there was plenty of tavernas close by and music. Don't go to Zorbas they do not do Greek night anymore and the meal I had wasn't good i got my money back. Everyone friendly made many new friends, we had a wonderful holiday
