A fantastic place to stay, in the heart of Keene Valley. It was immediately obvious that the innkeepers take great care of the space. The Inn was very clean and fresh smelling, and I appreciated that they use eco friendly cleaning products, as well as provide recycling and compost recepticles in the kitchen area. The furnishings were comfortable and the rooms were thoughtfully decorated with towels beautifully folded on the beds. We chose the Roostercomb Inn due to its dog friendliness, location, and affordability. I think Magdelena has created a real gem for travelers of all kinds- from hikers just looking for a bed to sleep in to couples and families looking for a relaxing retreat. We had no trouble with the shared bathroom or kitchen being available when we needed them and enjoyed getting to talk with some of the other guests durring our stay. The Inn is very close to many hiking trails, as well as some nice shops and restaurants. I would absolutely return again and advise others to do the same. Thank you to the keepers at the Roostercomb Inn for making our stay so enjoyable, and for being so welcoming of our dog!

From the welcome white board with everyone's name & room on it to the quaint & cozy rooms, this is a great place to stay. As long as you are willing to share a kitchen/dining area & the bathrooms (Big John has the tub, Little John is just that), you'll be happy here. I was put in the bunk bed room, which even at 5'10" I fit just fine in. Owners live downstairs, but until 9 leave the stairway door open so you can visit the woodstove equipped living room if you desire. A great place to snuggle in & be center to many things in the area to adventure to. Recommend highly.

Normally we car camp when hiking the High Peaks but there were three of us on this trip so the Ford Escape would not hold us all so we spent a night at the RoosterComb Inn. We made reservations on very short notice and host Magdalena was most helpful. We stayed in the Rooster Suite which has a private bath and adjoining bedroom and it worked out great (not all rooms have a private bathroom). We arrived a little after 9:00 p.m. and were out the door by 4:30 a.m. There were some hikers milling about when we got there and except for some minor hallway noise we fell asleep quickly and were well rested for our 32nd High Peak! If we needed an indoor overnight in Keene Valley or near the High Peaks we would definitely stay here again. Also, note, there is a Stewart’s about three miles away from the Inn so it is a great place to stop and fill up plus get any grocery items (or a milk shake!), if you are in need.
