Wetherill Inn

I was looking for a place to stay within reasonable driving distance of Monument Valley that was not one of the big hotel chains (and didn't have big-hotel-chain prices), and this inn fit the bill, without skimping on amenities. The room was attractive, comfortable and very clean. We could park right outside the door. The breakfast room offered hot foods, fruit, yogurt, etc. The staff was very gracious and helpful. We spent three nights there in October and the inn was full every night with guests from around the world, so I recommend making a reservation. The inn is not on Highway 160 with the other hotels. Head north through the town on Highway 163, the road to Monument Valley, and you’ll find it on the left. Kayenta is a small town, so driving to a restaurant for dinner is easy.

We had a lovely corner room. The breakfast, especially the coffee, was terrific. It is a perfect location to stay if you are interested in hiking and exploring Navajo National Monument, and Monument Valley. I loved the hot shower after a day of hiking. Remember to save some of your shopping for the wonderful gift shop. I purchased my favorite T-shirt, and a beautiful handcrafted necklace.

Room was very clean, great tv, simple continental breakfast but better choices than most. Even had a protein, peeled hard boiled eggs! The help were all very nice, with a very nice gift shop where you check in and out. You won't be disappointed.

After reading some of the previous posts I decided to give this inn a try. It’s not as pricey as some others in the area but I was pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained it was. The office area has a nice gift shop and the breakfast area is right next door to the office. The breakfast was pretty good with enough selections to suit most. The staff we talked to were friendly and helpful with suggestions about some of the restaurants to visit and they were very good. We used this stop to base our travel to Monument Valley and the Four Corners National Monument area. Very enjoyable visit to all.

Nice stay on the road trip. We always stay here for the night on the way Colorado. It is a great place for breaking up the. Pool is great for relaxing after a day on the road. A light breakfast is included with the room. Pancakes, yogurt, toast, juice.

Just horrible. The room had no fresh air and was smelling cigarette. We tried to open the window to change the air but impossible. The view was a farce because we had a wonderfull view of a wall. The carpet was dirty. No hot water to take a shower. The swimming pool was closed. Mattress was uncomfortable 😫 Imagine the worst and poorest quality at the highest price and you are at the good place. People suffering from asthma or allergy better run away. People are unpolite and interested only in your credit card. They know you will not stay more than 2 nights and try to get all the money they can from you in a short time. It is a big shame and little by little tourists will run away from this place.
