Great place to stay if you are visiting the Kawazu waterfalls. Walking distance to the waterfalls and nice scenery. Great food from the onsen hotel as well

This is a cuteeeeee little hotel. And yes its two stars on here, but I have to say, a hotel is just a place to sleep and what you want at the end of the day is a clean, comfortable, and quiet place to do that. This place delivered on that. What's most important is what's around it, and in this area, there is no better place to stay than this hotel. It's situated in this awesome part of Kawazu that is just breathtaking. You can follow this path along all of these different waterfalls, and it's a gorgeous walk. Plus -- it's 5 min walk away from this Onsen that is outside and next to the biggest waterfall, not to mention that their open-air onsen at the hotel itself is stunningly beautiful (I am speaking specifically of the men's onsen -- obviously didn't try the women's!). I think this is a two-star hotel on Trip.com for its services -- there's no room service, gym, amenities, etc... -- but in terms of location and onsen quality, its a four star hotel. My friend and I had a really nice time, and though there are so many places in the world to explore we are unlikely to return ourselves, I would refer people to this hotel without hesitation.

The food and service was very good. Unfortunately, there was no hot water and no onsen to use on-site. Concidering it was advertised as an onsen hotel, with outdoor bath, this was very dissapointing. We did however have access to an outdoor onsen 200m/5 min walk away which was nice. While the tatatami room where we slept was clean enough, the bath section of our room was a little dusty, as was the rest of the hotel which is in need of a deep clean, new carpet and general refresh. The staff where lovely and very accomodating.

This hotel is a treasure I found accidentally on my trip to Izu. Everything is perfect here - the location, the interior, the hospitality of the staff, the food, the onsen. I recommend everyone to stay here for the night after a walk to the Kawazu Falls.

A treasure hotel on the Izu Peninsula, with natural hot springs, but suitable for self-driving tours.

I accidentally stumbled into a very traditional and old-fashioned Japanese hot spring hotel. The surrounding area has a strong countryside feel, quiet and slow-paced. It takes about 15 minutes by bus from Hejin Station. It takes about an hour and a half to get there from Toi Port by boat. There are several hot springs here, most of which are open-air, and private hot springs can be used for free. It was very slippery after soaking. You need to take a shower in the hot spring area. You can't take a shower in the room. But there is a restroom. Listening to the sound of the waterfall behind you while sleeping is an extraordinary experience. White noise background, easy to fall asleep. You can have a meal here in the evening, kaiseki cuisine! ! The boss was very nice. I arrived late on the first day and it was raining and I didn’t make a dinner reservation yet. He drove me to a 711 three kilometers away to buy it. Although it is a little inconvenient here, it really has the local customs. It's a different feeling.
