The bath, the food, and the waitresses were all great, but the hostess's service was disappointing. I strongly agree with the previous reviewer. No one came out when we said hello. I thought it might be a busy time, so I waited a little, then noticed a bell at the front desk and rang it, and the hostess appeared with an expressionless face. When I went to get my hot spring notebook after checking in, she was so obviously in a bad mood that I could almost hear her clicking her tongue, saying, "You should have prepared it from the beginning." The worst part was when we were shown around Aonegoten after breakfast. We gathered exactly on time, but the hostess didn't come, and every time the waitresses passed by, they said, "Please wait a little longer," and we waited in the lobby for about 10 minutes, but when the hostess appeared, she said, "I'm off now," without saying a word of "sorry to keep you waiting." My mother had just gone to the bathroom at the back of the lobby, so when I told her, she said, "Eh!" and became sulky again and was about to go back to the accounting office, so I hurriedly said, "I'll be back soon, I'll see," and she finally turned around and waited in the lobby. Even during the tour, while we walked slowly to match my mother who has a bad leg, she walked off on her own. The explanation was also one-sided, and was read out quickly, making it difficult to hear, and all I could hear was "The lord went to 'Ooi'", so when I asked her what was 'Ooi', she said, "Yes, it's 'Umaoi'", so when I asked her back, "Umaoi?" she said, "What? You don't know Umaoi?!" and I shut my mouth, and she said, "Oh, I forgot how much I was talking about, come on..." Needless to say, I couldn't ask any questions after that. As someone wrote, it must be hard to preserve tradition, but if they want to display it a little more, they should take better care of it, and I think it will be difficult for the proprietress herself if things stay like this. It is just as important to want to enjoy a good hot spring as it is to want to have a good time there.
