Needed to find a hotel/B&B in the Kawartha's for a few days and this place fit the bill perfectly. Terrific location for heading to the many tourist areas in the Kawartha's and is absolutely beautiful with the numerous improvements done since the new owners bought the Inn a few years ago. Breakfast was great with much to choose from. The rooms have all been redone and the many common areas are great. Three docks on balsam lake gives you great areas to sit and see the world go by. I would recommend the place to anyone needing a getaway for a few days or a week.

My Wife and I had been invited to a reunion on nearby Balsam Lake and were happy to find a room available for three nights at the Saucy Willow Inn . Right off the bat on meeting the owner Stephanie we knew we had made a good pick. She welcomed us with a tour of the Inn and garden which fronts onto a beach and dock ideal for swimming on the Trent Canal system. Our room was very comfortable and had an excellent Air Conditioner which we appreciated as Coboconk was enduring plus 30 Celsius temperatures that day. The property was quiet and we had no noisy parties to contend with. The continental breakfast which went with our room was excellent. 5/5 for the overall experience. Thanks

We enjoyed our drive from Ottawa to the Kawartha Lake district. The roads were newly paved and the traffic in June was light. We drove to Kinmount for a 150th anniversary of Icelandic people arriving to settle in Canada. We stayed at the Saucy Willow Inn owned by David and Stephanie Jukes in Coboconk that evening. This home was luxurious and welcoming, with a beautiful view of the Gull River. We sat outdoors watching loons and boats go by and later enjoyed a warm fire sitting on Adirondic chairs on their spacious lawn. Our room was large and comfortable with a view and provided a balcony to have our dinner on or read. It was peaceful, welcoming and we enjoyed fresh scones from the oven for breakfast. Homemade jam, a smoothie and/or yogurt with fresh fruit was offered as well. We recommend this spot highly. Rilla and Peter Prince

A hidden gem in Coboconk! Fully restored and beautifully decorated. Located on the water, you’ll find a beach area and a separate area for paddle boats, kayaks, and canoes. The wood burning sauna is located where you can dip in and out of the lake. The breakfast was great! Especially the scones! Dave and Stephanie make you feel like family! Will be visiting again!

This is our second year that Stephanie and Dave have hosted our ladies weekend. Can't say enough about the beauty of the property, the hospitality of the owners and all the fun we have had. A definate place to stay right in the heart of Cobaconk.

This absolutely stunning riverside gem checked off all the boxes for our family of four! Extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated cottage, helpful and friendly owners, gorgeous location along the river, and easy walk to all you would need for a weekend or longer! High points for us were the super “hygge” sauna, kayaking time, and decompressing moments on the dock😎. Thank you Saucy Willow for creating such an oasis of fun and relaxation…we are all grateful to have found you.

We have visited « The Saucy » several times, both in high summer and depths of snowy winter. No matter the season, Steph and Dave are exceptional inn keepers - full of unflagging energy and genuine, welcoming charm and hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble and they are constantly upgrading what they offer, whether it’s a charcuterie board style breakfast (inn stays only) to home made scones and jam, installation of a sauna by the lake, or offering bespoke events such as the Victorian Afternoon Tea. The location with its pristine shoreline is picturesque in both sun and snow; there is a « backyard » skating rink in the winter months and kayaks and other water craft for use off one of several docks in summer. No expense has been spared - and great vision has been applied - to sympathetically restoring what was only several years ago a faded old Victorian lady to resplendent new glory - including exceptionally comfortable king sized beds, and all new bathrooms. Arrive as a guest and leave as a friend! A testament to their vision and hospitality is surely the number of repeat bookings at The Saucy.

This was our family's second stay at the Saucy Willow and we love it! Last year we were fortunate to be able to book four nights as there had been a cancellation, and this year we stayed for six, again booking a cottage. Clean, cozy, had everything we needed, and like all the cottages and the inn, a lovely view. Steph and Dave are wonderful hosts and are very attentive to their guests needs. In our opinion, one of the best locations in the Kawarthas. Some days we stayed around the property, relaxed and took advantage of the amenities, and other days we explored small communities located short drives away. We very much look forward to coming back!

By the time Steph had finished the initial orientation/tour, we felt as though we were visiting old friends at their really cool place in cottage country - and by the time we left, we felt that even more so. Now Steph's scones have become the gold standard against which all future scones will be measured. Beautiful location, easy to find, plenty of things to do (or not) on the property or within easy driving or cycling distance, and Steph and Dave's hospitality made The Saucy Willow one of the highlights of our trip. We'll be back!
