Undoubtedly one of the best hostels I stayed so far. I went off-season, so there is not much travellers around. But the place is cozy enough to keep you occupied. There are workdesks and also books and manga.
The location is near the sawara boat tour so you can just line up without reservation. The place itself also holds seasonal events like workshop and gatherings. Best to check out their website and you can time your visit during those periods.

Decided to stay here for a few nights to get some good downtime post-Tokyo time before our flight to leave Japan. The place was clean, comfortable, and a good walking distance to sightseeing spots/train station/shops/restaurants

I've been here again ^_^
I used a private room. It's conveniently located in a nice area of Sawara. The building has a nostalgic feel, and the owner is a wonderful person.

It's a hotel on the outskirts of the city. The weather is good, not chaotic, not crowded, the atmosphere is good, peaceful, the price is cheap because it's a dormitory room. If you come as a team, it's worth it.

This is my second time using it. It's a convenient place to stay and it's very close to Sawara's cityscape.
This is my favorite place to stay because of its cleanliness.
However, sounds and voices can easily echo inside the building, so it may not be suitable for people who are sensitive to noise.
