Positives Excellent phone signal Near the airport Nice location Good road links Food is ok, wide choice. All inclusive wine is weak There are nice restaurants in the local area. Clean room, regular towel and linen changes. Staff are friendly. Good price. On site parking. Clean room. Hair dryer, fridge and a fixed retractable clothes airer on balcony. Shop on site is open until 22.00 . There is a supermarket next door which has a wider selection and is cheaper. Near beach. Nice local restaurants off site. Seats loungers on balcony. We upgraded to the newer part of the hotel. Negatives One key card for room. Air con switches off when room key card is not in slot. Plastic cups for drinks. All inclusive wine and beer was tasteless. Soft drinks were ok. Some of the food gets past it best when left in the sun. You need to bring your own beach towel. Hotel is looking tired in places.

Booked the swim up rooms in St Constantin hotel in Gouves Crete and was pleasantly surprised after some recent reviews. The Hotel is very spread out over a large area, with older buildings and newer extension. The room itself was excellent quality, cleaned every day except Sunday’s. The main restaurant was buffet style . Breakfast was very European catering for all tastes including UK “Full English” All other meals were Cretan based but quite international . The selection was enough to give everyone a choice, and also had a kids corner, catering for the youngsters. The desserts were superb including a chocolate fountain agin for the little ones. Fish day was amazing and included snails, octopus and superb stuffed sardines. Outside there was a snack bar open 11 am to 7 pm with smaller choice but again excellent quality. All inclusive drinks were available from 10.30 till 22.00 , ranging from help yourself beer, wine, soft drinks and coffees/teas. The cocktail bar also had a limited selection of cocktails using local spirits. There were three main pools, one pool near the restaurant with music, kids water slides and sunbeds. A second pool by the cocktail bar was a little quieter and the large pool was mostly adults with no music, just relaxation and conversation. There was a sandy beach nearby with two beds and an umbrella at reasonable prices. Entertainment nightly was a mix of kids early on and adults later. The team worked had in three languages to provide fun and laughter. Would add that Gouves is a very quiet resort, more for relaxation than wild nightlife. Overall our stay was really enjoyable and would definitely recommend and consider returning again.

Myself and two friends visited Crete and stayed at St Constantin. The food was good and the staff were great. There was evening entertainment everyday and music playing throughout the day. We spent a lot of time near the pool and explored the town surrounding us. The hotel is also very close to the beach. All together a great trip and we would definitely return.

in no way a 4 star i would say more like 2- we felt catfished by the pictures vs what you actually get. The rooms stank of sewage and our friends had to move room 3 times. the food in the buffet is terrible poor quality mass produced and sits out for hours and hours. break fast was ok ish. quiet hotel not very lively more a family orientated place. ok if you have low ish standards of a European holiday but it put me off Crete as an island and i would not return.

Sure! Here's how you can structure your review in English, covering both the negative and positive aspects: --- **Negative Aspects:** Firstly, the food was quite disappointing. It was nearly the same every day, with very minimal changes from one day to the next. In fact, 90% of the food was identical, even for breakfast, which was exactly the same throughout the entire week we stayed. On top of that, the taste of the food was not great; it felt like cafeteria food, made from the cheapest ingredients. In the snack bar and kids' food section, everything seemed to be made from frozen food, which isn't very healthy, especially for children. Another downside was the ice cream. It was only available during the main meals, while in most all-inclusive resorts, you can usually find it at the snack bar as well, which is important considering the high temperatures when you need something to cool down. The beer was okay, but the soft drinks tasted strange due to the tap water used. The alcoholic beverages and cocktails were clearly made from the cheapest spirits, and it was noticeable. A major disadvantage was that you had to pay extra for Wi-Fi and for access to the safe, and these charges were on a per-day basis. Accessibility was also a concern. If you're traveling with a young child or someone with disabilities, the access ramps are very difficult to use. There were only two water slides, and they operated for just three hours a day—two hours from 11 AM to 1 PM and one hour from 5 PM to 6 PM. Regarding room access, they only provide one key card, and if you need a second one, you have to pay for it. The entertainment was heavily geared towards French speakers, which was a big disadvantage for non-French speakers. Moreover, there seemed to be a distinction between guests, as French guests had different colored wristbands, which felt like a form of segregation. On the day of departure, they cut off our wristbands and restricted our access to the main meals, allowing only access to the snack bar. Additionally, both the hotel reception and the restaurant where we had our meals were unbearably hot, as the air conditioning was not functioning. **Positive Aspects:** The only good things I can mention are related to the accommodation itself. The room conditions were decent, and while the cleanliness wasn't the best, it wasn't terrible either. The main issue seemed to be that the hotel was understaffed, and they couldn't keep up with the demand. --- This review highlights the key issues you experienced while also mentioning the positive aspects.

In general it was a nice stay. Starting from negatives: - Firstly I wouldn't say it's a 5* hotel,as it's advertise itself. -The room we were staying despite being very spacious looked very tired. Not many shelves in wardrobes and not enough hooks in bathroom to hang towels and bathrobes, I ended up hanging them over our room on wardrobe doors and room doors (we stayed in a room with a private plunge pool). - a la carte restaurant, I was surprised that upon the booking, you needed to select what are you going to eat-preorder, and you had to pay for drinks, it was first time I have visited a la carte restaurant in this form. Additionally, you could only book it once regardless you were staying a week or two, but it didn't matter as we wouldn't consider to book it again - food was ok, not much choice though, and I think meat should be bit warmer, also I missed the fruit choice, especially in the morning. Over two weeks stay beloved grapes I have seen only twice and watermelon never was available in mornings. I ended up buying fruit in the local shop - drinks, it was first time where on all inclusive holidays fresh juice wasn't available at least for breakfast. Drinks from machine weren't great, and again I was buying drinks in local shop. I don't drink alcohol,so can't express my opinion on that, but my husband said it was ok. - there were few areas in the hotel which looked like they are not in use any more. Actually if you look on the TripAdvisor professional pictures, it looks like these areas are still in use, for example current baggage storage on these pictures looks like entertainment area, the same about roof restaurant, so it's bit misleading. Positives: - entertainment team makes your stay, they work super hard from the morning till late evening, making sure you will have loads of fun, so if you like being busy, make sure you will stay by activity pool - resort was very clean, you could see staff working so hard from early hours till late, making sure the grounds and rooms are clean - generally all staff was very polite, hardworking, and with smile on theirs face and happy to help anytime. - if you book a trip through the hotel you will get prepacked lunch to take away with you Summarises, it's a nice hotel, but it wasn't entirely what we were expecting to be, anyway staff will make it up, also it is within nice settings, lovely beach is across the road. Not far walk from the hotel there are amazing spots to watch incredible sunset and sunrise. Tips: slides are working but only three hours a day from 11am -1pm and 5pm-6pm , we thought they don't work at all, but then we spotted the note on the gate of the slide. There are loads of sunbeds, unless you decide to spend time by the activity pool, then may not be possible to get a sunbed in this area, as people leave their towels there over the night, some of the towels I have seen for a week, but hardly could see the owner.

Excellent hotel. Food was excellent for the whole week. Bar staff throughout friendly and fun. Very accessible to beach and local amenities. Entertainment team Simone, Kath, Raphael, Greg, Rhianna, Basia, Barbie and Mia were excellent hosts and kept the kids and adults entertained with games all week.
