We visited Zeus Village Resort for 8 nights in September and were welcomed by Kostantinos who was very accommodating to us arriving at a late hour. We emailed ahead to inform them we’d be checking in 1am due to a late flight which was no trouble and had a very warm welcome. The rooms are very spacious, like a mini apartment and the beds are super comfortable! Only downside was we were next to the busy road but providing you shut the doors and windows at night it didn’t bother us. The pool area is spectacular with the pool beds and plenty of sun loungers with the restaurant just next to it and it never got too busy. Breakfast was the best I’ve ever experienced in any hotel, so many different options and eggs cooked in front of you to your choice! The Greek yoghurt was my favourite, a huge selection of toppings with cereals, seeds, Nutella, peanut butter! Lots of pastries, cold meats, cheese, bacon, sausages and lots of types of bread. They even cater for gluten free. They also had slightly different options each day for pastries, fresh fruit. Only disappointment was the coffee machine, but we like our coffee strong. But you could order coffee from the bar if you wish. Drinks at the bar were also reasonably priced and you can order from your sun loungers. The staff and service was impeccable, couldn’t fault. Rooms cleaned well. We had nest of ants form outside our front door and balcony but Kosta helped instantly to remove them! The hotel itself is a small distance outside of chania old town, we had hired a car so it was an easy 10 minute drive. But there are plenty of buses that run too. There’s a lidl within 5 min walking distance and another large supermarket too. Convenient for buying water and food as the rooms have a fridge and plates/ cutlery so we could make our own lunches and keep milk for making tea/coffee. There’s plenty of beaches nearby within walking distance and some nice restaurants too. We stayed local a few nights and drove into chania other nights as parking is relatively easy. It’s also a great location if you wish to visit Samaria Gorge and Balos Beach which we did. You can also go to Elafonissi via car or excursion. Overall we loved our stay at Zeus! Would highly recommend to anyone looking to visit Chania!
