Good: Nice looking room (suite in a new building) and hotel area, lots of beautiful plants and small animals, decent beach and swimming pool; free upgrade from bungalow to a suite on low season; strong feeling of security - protected entrance, every driver picking up guests has to sign in guest book; worker present during taxi price negotiation to ensure we will not be scammed; helpful reception lady and one guy at the bar (only ones speaking good english); also very nice and helpful worker of local travel agency Flash Tour present in the hotel Bad: Food in every possible way! In low season only a la carte but with very limited options: no avocado, no beef, no shrimp/prawns, no skewers. Mostly boring european-like cuisine availlable. Breakfast on first day - almost empty and unapetizing „buffet”. On the next days - only omelette/eggs and bread. NOTHING more! Lunch and dinner - very limited options and most of them not tasty. Quality of the ingredients was poor, most dishes tasteless and /or oily. The bar made us cocktails with no alcohol and OPENLY tested if we noticed - this happened a few times. This is straight up fraud! Another problem: rain. Of course in the rain season it rains, but water completely flooded the hotel (even 20cm of water on the walkways outside) and got into our room almost every day (1 meter wide puddle in the middle of the room) due to faulty construction. Also, the hotel has its own merchant selling souvenirs. He was intrusive and made inapropriate comments to white female guest! A lot of staff (3-6 people at the bar, 2 at the restaurant, 2-3 kitchen, 2 reception + a lot of maintenance staff) but despite of that - very slow and incomplete service, poor english. On the last day of our stay - suddenly the waitresses started to be intrusively polite and openly ask for tips. Overall feeling: we were treated like money piggies, not interesting if we don’t tip. This applies to the locals in general. Sadly, the people here behave desperately and intrusively to get money and often try to scam you with double prices in shops or taxi. You can’t have a peaceful walk on the beach or chill on the sunbeds without being constantly interrupted by someone trying to sell you something. The nature of the Zanzibar island is beautiful but we left exhausted by all the intrusive interactions and feeling abused by the local people.

Very Quiet, isolated, peaceful resort. Only sounds you hear are waves and wind. A very well-kept and clean environment. Beautifully done restaurant setup for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rooms are small but adequate and with AC. Good and worry-free food. Thank to Turkish Chef. Go there, you won't regret it. Go there, you won’t regret it.

Tikki beach was the highlight of our Zanzibar trip. I was there with my mom, sister and daughter. They treated us so well. The staff are so nice especially Alisha, Lily, Ali, Jerry, the list goes on. The food was so delicious and reasonably priced, the beach is beautiful, the rooms were clean. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying here on my next visit to Zanzibar.

We were welcomed here with the positive and beautiful approach by Mr Jacob at the reception. He kindly introduced us to all hotel facilities and made us feel extremely welcomed and before we took our bags to the room he brought us to the bar to get our welcome drink to start our stay nicely, which is very appreciated. Apar**ent we stayed in was super clean, big and had all the room facilities you could ask for. Balcony has amazing ocean view. Staff working in the restaurant and bar are very friendly, smiley and positive. Breakfast is stunning! Big portion and you can choose from the breakfast options whatever you want. Pool is very clean and everyone is taking care of us like a part of family. I really love it here and I recommend this place to the fullest if you really want to enjoy your holiday :).

We highly recommend this place The best drinks and juices ever. Not to mention chocolate milkshakes made by Theo. She is the best in making coctails. Everyone Here is so nice and friendly. ❤️

The place is directly on the beach and therefore it was a lovely stop during the day to grab a lunch and refreshing drink. Also the use of sunbeds was for free which was very convinient :)

Typical party spot with no attention to details. Staff friendly but poorly trained. Windy all the time ( that’s the beauty of this spot ) lots of insects everywhere! ( I understand the location and all but we spent some time in different hotels and they managed it much better !!! ) Good breakfast.

A great place to stay! Great service and great host, manager and all staff!!! The hotel is located on the ocean!!!The hotel has a bar and restaurant and a swimming pool! There is good music playing in the bar and the bartenders are very funny guys! The restaurant has delicious food. I also really liked the breakfasts! Delicious! Great ocean view and beautiful music! The pool is new and the recreation area is beautiful. There are parties there every Wednesday. The hotel is located not far from the bustling city of Paje. But at night the hotel is quiet and peaceful. Great place! I recommend it to everyone!!!

I can highly recommend staying here and enjoyed every day, that I spent there. The resort is beautifully located (right on a postcard-perfect beach), well maintained and run by wonderful people. If you are searching for a relaxed and beautifully located place to spend your holidays, you can stop your search right here. :) Just book! Due to it's own kite school, Palm Tree Resort is also a good pick, if you are a kite surfer or if you are (like me) just trying to find your way into the sport. The team at the kite school was just as nice as the team in the hotel. I can also recommend to book here, if you are working remotely, The WiFi is particularly fast and stable compared to any other place, that I tried on Zanzibar. Writing this review I also searched for negative points, but honestly couldn't find any. It's just perfect value for money and also my new go-to-place on the island. I am already looking forward to come back!
