"This hotel was really good! I liked it quite a bit. I wish the location was a little bit better but other than that it’s pretty solid. The restaurant is pretty decent, but the rooms are actually really nice. I will say one thing, however, that the Wi-Fi is not very good. Other than that, it was a great stay."
"The location is very convenient, pick and drop service provided. With complimentary breakfast served on the roof top restaurant, stunning view. Overall, highly recommended for short stay."
"🌟 Hotel Pomelo House, Nepal – Great Stay on a Budget!
I recently stayed at Hotel Pomelo House in Nepal, and honestly, it was far better than I expected for the price. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The bathroom was hygienic and cleaned daily.
The staff were super friendly and always ready to help with anything. The location is also very convenient — close to shops, restaurants, and major attractions.
Wi-Fi worked well, and there was always hot water available. Overall, it’s a perfect “value for money” hotel — you get great service at a low cost!
⭐ Rating: 4.5/5
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a nice, affordable place to stay in Nepal."
"Nice and friendly staff. The location is great, as very close to the airport and further back from the main road, so no busy traffic noise. I’m a light sleeper but managed to have a really good nights sleep. The food is really good as well. Great place :)"
"Everything is very very good. A room same like picture. Staff very nice they taking a good care for me and breakfast is okay. they can arrange taxi from Airport to hotel and from Hotel to Airport. They made a good time in Kathmandu for me. if you find a budget hotel but great service I think you have to pick this hotel
And if i come back agian , I'll come back to this hotel for sure ! 🎉🎉🎉"
"Great location in the heart of Thamel. Lots of great food and shopping nearby, can walk to most central attractions. Triple room with three twin beds, super comfy with great comforters. Shower was a little tricky but eventually got hot water. Small free breakfast. Helpful, friendly staff."
"had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Kathmandu. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. You can really feel that they care about their guests.
The room was very clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping was consistent and detailed — I always came back to a fresh and tidy room.
The location is also perfect: close to everything, but still quiet enough at night to get good rest. It’s just a short walk to great restaurants, shops, and many cultural sites.
Overall, amazing service, lovely people, and a place I would happily return to. Highly recommend."
"A brand new hotel with all kind of comfortable fertilities to make you staying easy and chill. Great location, sitting between the airport and the Pashupatinath Temple, both in 10 mins walk. It’s not far from the main road but also very quiet. I would stay here again next time."
"In my personal opinion, this is one of the absolute best hotels in Kathmandu. I have stayed here a few different times and every single time. It has been absolutely incredible. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are the most comfortable beds. I’ve slept on in Nepal. The sheets and the blankets are so soft and comfortable. The shower and the bathroom is immaculately clean. The heated toilet seats are definitely a bonus. The service is beyond incredible. The Internet is really fast compared to most hotels in Nepal. And the restaurant is pretty solid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nepal."

Amazing
MMolly RoseI love this hotel! The staff are so friendly - especially the lovely lady behind the front desk who was so kind and chatty. It was lovely to talk with her and she made me feel very at home. Beside, the breakfast is excellent and the bed is super comfy. I would stay here again in a heartbeat in Kathmandu - couldn’t recommend this hotel more

Amazing
GGuest UserI recently stayed at Hotel Anuttara in Nepal and had a great experience. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant stay. My room was clean and well-equipped, providing all the essentials for a comfortable visit. The hotel’s restaurant offered a diverse menu with tasty local dishes. Its convenient location made it easy to access shopping and dining options nearby. Although not a retreat, the lively atmosphere added to the experience, making it ideal for travelers wanting to immerse themselves in the local culture. I highly recommend Hotel Anuttara for anyone visiting the area!
AAya0722I was surprised at how clean it was, and even the bedsheets were nice.
You wouldn't expect this for such a low price.
The staff were very kind, and since we were checking out very early in the morning, when I asked them if I could bring breakfast, they packed boiled eggs, bread, etc. for me to take home.
The owner speaks Japanese, so if you meet him he will assist you in various ways in Japanese!
Thank you very much.
喵喵酱wThe hotel has a beautiful environment, good service, and a superior location. It is very close to the Boudhanath Stupa. The only drawback is that it is not easy to find. The hotel's restaurant and afternoon tea are also very delicious, and the price is acceptable. Overall, it is a very good experience. (If you are lucky, you can also meet a kitten(*^ω^*))
GGuest UserThe rooms were clean and spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a much appreciated/needed balcony for drying the soaking clothes after our rainy hike. The service was quick and friendly, starting with the very nice security guard at the gate and ending with the front desk employees who were efficient and polite. The only real downside was that the hot water wasn't really working well at all in the shower, which was a bit of an issue considering I was in dire need of a good shower after my hike. But overall, a great value for anyone looking to stay in downtown Kathmandu in a convenient location!
GGuest UserWe knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to.
On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic.
As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace!
Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection.
We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe.
There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly.
The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.
AAnonymous UserThe location is perfect, right at the heart of the city. The view is great, too.
The staff are amazing: Bibek informed me about everything I asked, from means of transport to some specialties. I didn't have a kettle in the room, and he got me one.
The breakfast was nice, although served only starting from 11 am (which is a bit late to my taste).
The biggest issue is hot water that is warm, but i guess that's the case pretty much everywhere in Nepal. There's an AC, a bar of soap, a toothpaste and a toothbrush, a towel, two chairs, but no desk.
MMH RONYThey are very welcoming, and the reception staff was awesome. They accept international visa card. Every floor have a nice balcony for gossiping, eating coffee and smoking. With this budget, best hotel.
My room was 404.
Problems:
1. The telephone was not dead.
2. Curtains are very thin so in the morning you can't sleep in the sunlight.
3. The doors and windows are very old, that's why if someone is talking outside of the room you will hear everything and maybe they also hear you.
4. They just provide tissue and soap, they didn’t provide toothbrush, toothpaste, or shampoo. So if you booked this hotel keep this with you.
5. The hotel doesn't have an elevator, so if you don't like the stairs, is it not for you and you can talk to the hotel before booking for the 2nd floors room.

Very Good
GGuest UserNice Old Hotel, Great Staff with few needs to improve.
Swimming pool is totally disappointment. Better to shut down, than keep running and not swimmable, waist of energy. The water is dirty, no star at all.
The lobby, the room and Ghurka bar are still great.
2 power shutdowns in 1 day, I believe they are struggling with power shortages due to dark lounges.
Breakfast was so so, coffee or tea should be not a challenge to serve first, sometimes took half of meal before they come. Many Tables are not stable and aligned, egg can easily roll over to other side. Atleast 3 tables on my experience.
Room is comfortable, nice bed and always fresh linen. Only noisy from AC , maintenance team came twice on my room to fix, though transfer was offered on my last 2 days.
Managers should not standing in buffet line, either they should help the line staffs or directing the team, talking business in public is not of our guests concern.
Front desk Trainee, has good presence, I thought first he is manager.
A lot can be improved and polished, the hotel has a great potential, nice design, great facilities and great staffs. I wish that management should look all themselves and review those small details.
CChristinalvxingdarenBecause I didn't catch the plane, I found a small hotel temporarily in the early morning.
facility:
Although the hotel is small, the hardware facilities are relatively good in Nepal, which is good.
There is air conditioning, hot water and card swipe door locks, which are advanced.
But there is no hair dryer either…
health:
I still saw the hair...
environment:
Room comfortable
Serve:
The breakfast provided is relatively simple (Picture 6 is the breakfast menu)
The service attitude of the staff at night is good, but the service attitude during the day is average.
In the evening, my friend in Kathmandu sent me to the hotel to pick up my luggage and take me to the airport. The hotel staff was even more hospitable.
