Buddhi and his colleagues are hospitable and humorous, providing you with a wonderful experience and a sense of comfort. This is a guesthouse with distinct Nepalese characteristics. Some famous scenic spots in Kathmandu are nearby. Even if you just stay in the guesthouse,relaxing, looking into the distance and enjoying the garden view are all pleasant pleasures. The environment is clean and elegant. There is a dedicated kitchen here, offering meals, which are authentic and delicious! The boss is running it with great care!

Excellent hotel. Friendly personal and new infrastructure. Quiet place very close to Tamel - 5 minutes walking. I spent here 2 weeks in September 2024. The kitchen is also good, normal price for dinner. I sincerely recommend this hotel to every traveler.

I tried to stay in three hotels before choosing Blue Mountain. As a result, I stayed here for almost a week and a half until departure. Here I found what I needed: silence, cleanliness, attentive service, close location to Thamel and transport for travel around. Everything is thought out to the smallest detail. And the forest is also near - it was also important for me. There is an opportunity to wash your clothes by yourself, there are wonderful terraces for relaxation, and the view from the roof is so beautiful! Thank you, everything was great! I really recommend Blue Mountain to all my friends.

I stayed in Kathmandu a few times, once I found blue mountain, I didn’t book anywhere else. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Clean and peaceful environment while also being very central to Kathmandu. The next time I come through Kathmandu I won’t stay anywhere else.

The room wasy cozy and comfy. Also you will see cleanliness everywhere. The view from the roof was quite mesmerising. Stuff and the manager himself was friendly to me. So, I definitely recommend this home stay, if you are looking for a centered Thamel home stay.

I found this is Best Hotel in nepal and rooms are so need and clean ! Staff are also so kind and well trained! I stayed 4 days in this hotel and i really enjoyed ! I would like to give them 5 starts in overall ! I really enjoyed my nepal trip ! Wonderful experience

Nice clean hotel on a quiet street, 5 min walk from Thamel. Comfy beds! Hot water any time. Nice rooftop cafe. Stayed there twice. The room with shared bathroom is actually OK, because there are only two rooms per floor who use it. Room includes simple breakfast (eggs/toast/fruit), also welcome dinner (traditional Nepali dal bhat). The owner Buddhi was very welcoming and helpful with everything — bus tickets, night taxi, etc He has a travel agency, so tours and trekking also available.

I arrived here from India on November 9th. I will leave on January 1st. So that's 53 nights in total. I could have moved around Nepal, but decided to stay only in Kathmandu. It's my third stay at Blue Mountain Homestay. Perfect for me. A family run hotel with a small team of honest, reliable, trustworthy, helpful workers. Nothing was too much to ask. Very clean and well maintained. Only 5 minutes walk from Thamel, but in a quiet area. I had to stay here longer than normal due to a change in the Indian Visa regulations. I will be coming back next September/October for more of the same. My only criticism was that Buddhi, the owner, doesn't have a cat. I have 13 cats in Goa & I desperately needed to stroke a cat whilst I was here. He says he's looking for a black cat. I hope he gets one by September 2024!!!!
