The room was fantastic and the service was brilliant. Food on the roof was sublime. The location was great too - very close to a shopping district but our of the busy streets of Kathmandu. Everything was priced really reasonably. The staff couldn't do enough for us - couldn't fault it.

Beautiful little hotel in a quiet area.The rooms were clean and spacious. The roof top restaurant was a relaxing place to sit and admire the views, plus served great food. Staff were extremely friendly and so helpful when we wanted to book our trek. We would definitely stay here again

This lovely quaint authentic boutique hotel was an excellent place to stay with very comfortable rooms. Rojina on reception is very friendly and helpful as are all the staff. There is a lovely rooftop restaurant where we ate a delicious dinner and full breakfast at very modest prices. I would recommend this place for singles, friends or couples. Very safe and pleasant

Beautiful rooftop dining area. Spacious rooms. 20 min walk to old town in a quiet street. Very friendly helpful and welcoming staff. Tasteful decor and private balconies affordable price would highly recommend. We used Nivas as our base and stayed before and after our trek.

Amazing service from Dave, Rosina and the boys in the kitchen! Clean rooms, central location to the main drag yet tucked away giving it a quietness, and rooftop with panoramic views to relax. I would highly recommend Nivas and will be going back when I’m next in Nepal :)

This hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood a short walk away from Thamel, and features beautiful carved wood furnishings, very well appointed rooms, the most comfortable bed, and a fantastic rooftop for meals and just general hanging out. I ordered dinner twice and it was delicious. This is the perfect place to rest before and after trekking (it honestly felt like I was almost in a spa), and is conveniently located close to a tourist bus pick-up location. The staff are very accommodating and helpful, and I felt totally at home here each time. Very affordable rooms and a luxury experience - highly recommend!

This hotel is absolutely beautiful. We decided to stay after 14 days trekking in the Himalayas and it’s exactly what we needed. The staff were so friendly and attentive and helped us with all our needs. The whole place it decorated with traditionally Nepalese architecture and the rooftop is the perfect place to watch over the bustling city while eating some good food! The room was absolutely spotless and the shower was luxury. Highly recommend; and extremely cheap for what it is!

I had an incredible stay at Nivas. The staff was so friendly and kind. I stayed to take the early morning bus ride to Pokhara and it was well worth it! The front desk even provided me a packed breakfast, and it was ready before I left! Room was comfortable and clean with a nice balcony. Highly recommend
