I stayed several nights in the Hotel Sohum. One night before our trekking expedition in Langtang, three nights before a yoga and meditation retreat and another six nights after. The place is really great !!! Perfect location in a quiet and peaceful area of Thamel, only a five minutes walk away from it’s center. The rooms and showers are nice and clean and the mattresses very comfortable. And everything for reasonable prices. Tilak the owner and his daughter Monika are very hospitable, friendly and helpful hosts. They can also give a lot of useful hints and tips regarding trekking and sightseeing in Nepal and about the best yoga and meditation retreats in the outskirts of Kathmandu. There is a lot of informative literature about it in the reception area. Tilak also runs one of the oldest trekking organizations in town with more than 25 years of experience in this business field. So Sohum Hotel is not only a cozy place to stay, but a place to book your trekking adventures and outdoor activities in the Himalayas

It is always a delight to travel to new places and find places to stay that make you feel like you're at home!! The incredible father and daughter duo are the epitome of Nepali hospitality. Ever helpful and ready to cater whatever we needed. Not to mention - Hotel Sohum has the HOTTEST SHOWER EVER - which is an absolute respite after long days on the trail or out walking. The rooms are impeccably clean, new, and well equipped with every comfort you could require. We cant express enough our gratitude to Hotel Sohum 💓 - now we know where we can come back to! 100/10 recommend.

The room was wonderful 👍, spacious , clean with attached bathroom. very welcoming and polite receptionist. Great location close to shops and restaurants. Loved it and i would surely recommend to my friends and i will come definitely next time also this hotel. thank you! 🙏

The hotel is of our best choice for our family‌‌, and it is conveniently located with nearby shopping center, restaurants and ATM mechine and the best thing we liked was hot shower and clean room, and the staff are also friendly and helpfu! We have no hesitation for recommendation!
