The hotel is very close to the Great Stupa, a few minutes walk. The environment is very good, and the restaurant downstairs is very good. The waiters are very friendly, but the English is too complicated to communicate. Helping to call a taxi usually requires a quick reply and a good attitude. The price/performance ratio is still very high, and the sleep is very solid.

I have stayed several times at this wonderful hotel. It is a hidden gem: close enough to the stupa to enjoy but not so close that you get the noise. The staff is friendly and efficient, the breakfast good and the beautiful garden a oasis of calm. My favorite hotel in Kathmandu

The hotel is not big, the environment is quiet, the Tara statue in the lobby makes us feel safe and friendly, the room is clean and tidy, and I would like to praise the hotel guy, who is warm and hospitable, considerate of customers, and tries to meet all requirements. Our group of 6 people are very satisfied. Warm reminder: You need to bring your own toiletries, and there is a lack of hot water for washing.

10min away on foot from the airport, perfect for a short stay to catch the next flight. Very funktional, personnel very helpful and kind. Breakfast is also good, we had the Indian breakfast.

Great Location as the hotel is just a few mins walk outside the airport , especially after a late night flight. No need to go through all the hassle of waiting for taxis. Rooms were excellent, very clean, spacious and great amenities, you can also access youtube and other channels through the hotel TV. The breakfast in the morning was delicious, they provided a great variety of dishes. Everything was great, but the price was a bit too high considering and comparing other hotels in Nepal. The room i booked cost a total of around 110usd per night and i think i can book a 5 star hotel with way better facilities and services with the same amount of money. Other than that, the hotel was great, the biggest plus is the location. Will definitely book again but a cheaper room.

I am on the tail end of an 18-night stay at the Lakhey Hotel in Kathmandu, and I can honestly say that it has been WONDERFUL. I've gotten to know many of the staff, and they all are warm, friendly, and gracious. The hotel has only been open for a couple of months, and it is spotlessly clean, kept that way in part by one of the hardest working housekeepers, Sumitra, that I have ever seen. The staff head, Rajesh, and his assistants, Raj Kumar and Ram, who also multitask with cooking, greet me every morning with a warm welcoming. They all will make you feel like you are part of their family. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, off a busy street, and conveniently located near the touristy Thamel area. The rooms are spotlessly clean, modern, rather upscale, but very economical. The hotel does not have a restaurant but provides a GREAT breakfast that is way beyond what they call a ”continental breakfast” that one would get in America. Freshly cooked to each guest, it includes eggs however you like them (I loved the omelet!), freshly cut fruit, veggies, potatoes, toast with butter & jam, juice, & coffee or tea. And there is a restaurant right next door for other meals. I had never stayed at the Lakhey Hotel before, but I can highly recommend it, and I will surely return in the future. New Hotel with Great Roof Top View, needs to improve. Room is nice, smells new, however bed sheet is completely new , itchy , it’s like just bought and not washed , direct to the bed or been there dusty for long time. Towel is dirty white, not convenient. Water is totally disappointed, Color yellow, un-filtered and smells. Need proper filtration. Massage, all is new, bed is sounding haha , no music , no aroma for 8k local currency, 1 hour, masseuse was good. Food some are great, some are tough. View is the best for this hotel, but they open only afternoon to 10.. if you are sunrise person , this hotel is not for you. Sun set was great. Staffs are friendly, however next visit should be more thoughtful on guiding guests, where is elevator, what are facilities and hotel can offer. Breakfast was fair, price is recommendable.
