A 2 star hotel you can book for a reasonable price. The hotel is located just 500 metres from the city area. A tram stop is about 150 metres away. Parking is free of charge on the premises of the hotel, but there are only 5 parking spaces available. The price for breakfast is 10 Euros now.

The Novostar Hotel Kassel is located in a rather unfriendly area right on the main street with trams. At night we had to sleep with the window closed because the noise from the street and the strange people was extreme. Since the documenta Kassel took place this weekend, the double room was clearly too expensive at €120. The rooms are very small and the furnishings are reminiscent of the 80s. The bathroom with shower can also only be accessed by one person. Unfortunately, the WiFi was hardly usable. The price included breakfast, but you have to be there before 9am. Because otherwise you have to make do with the sparse rest. On Sunday we were smarter and around 8 o'clock everything was plentifully and satisfactorily served as a buffet. Check-in and check-out went smoothly and very quickly. The staff also makes a lot of effort and is very friendly. But the cleanliness of the rooms needs work. One of the two pillowcases was also dirty. If you are not traveling to an event in Kassel, you can book this hotel as a cheap overnight stay for 1-2 days.

Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt zwar ok, aber leider gab es deutliche Einschränkungen. Beispielsweise war das Frühstücksbuffet erst aufgefüllt worden als ich und auch andere Gäste schon fast fertig waren. Und auch die Armaturen des Bades ließen sehr zu wünschen übrig.

Die Parkmoglichkeiten dieses 2 Sterne Hotels sind beschraenkt. Es gibt nur 4 Parkplaetze. Ansonsten hat das Hotel ein gutes Preis-Leistungsverhaeltnis. Das Fruehstueck kostet nur 5 EUROS. Fuer Langzeit gaeste gibt es Zimmer mit Kochgelegenheit. Diese sollte man jedoch direkt beim Hotel buchen. Dann bekommt man auch einen Preis der nicht im Internet beworben wird. Die Strassenbahnhaltestelle ist etwa 300 Meter vom Hotel entfernt. Man erreicht die Haltestelle Hollaendischer Platz ueber einen Tunnel der leider oft von Drogenabhaengigen als Treffpunkt genutzt wird.

Unser Zimmer war sauber und gemütlich. bei der Ankunft kam keine Begrüßung und die umgebung ist ziemlich laut. der check-out war angenehm und ging schnell. Wir würden uns beim nächsten mal einen Netteren Empfang wünschen.
