We stayed at this hotel 5 years ago, funky old building (the outlook east), but all the amenities: good bed, large room, great lobby, evening snack included, even a pool table. Well it's all gone, the mattress is beat, the bed frame makes noise, the room full of dust. I ended up putting the mattress on the floor and choked all night. They removed the frig from the rooms. There is no air conditioning, the street noise is serious. They have closed the lobby, no more evening snack, no place to hang out. The breakfast that was once ample and very good is now white bread, corn flakes and dried out scrambled eggs. The reception people are nice but no help, they struggle with any language other than German. $200 a night for what amounts to a dump. Avoid this place you can find better in Kassel for less than half the price.

This is my first time staying at a self-service hotel. The experience was very good. The room was very clean, there was a kitchen, the tableware was complete and cleaned, and it was placed in the cabinet drawer under the stove. Oil and salt are available. The dishes are in the cabinet above, enough for three people. The sponge and detergent for washing dishes are on the edge of the pool. There is a microwave and a refrigerator. We bought vegetables, fruits and eggs and put them in the refrigerator. It was enough to eat for many days without purchasing them every day, and we saved money for eating out. The bathroom was bright and clean, Germany was dry, the towels in the bathroom were there, and they were dry at night. The hotel is located in the city center and the traffic at the door is very convenient. We took the bus to William Highland Park. Next to the hotel is the supermarket, it is very convenient to buy some daily necessities. This hotel is suitable for free travellers in Germany.

Friendly staff. nice, friendly room. The best is the comfortable mattress. Also the headbits super. The first hotel for a long time when I was standing up without back pain and tough neck. TV with many programmes. Continental breakfast buffet. Drink and snack machine. Automatic for coffee and supper. Afterwards quiet room. Apart from Hercules, beautiful morning and evening sky. I asked where to buy this wonderful mattress, unfortunately I didn't get a answer to my mail.

Ein Familienwochenende in einem sehr schönen Hotel. Das Hotel liegt etwa 20 Minunten zu Fuß von der Innenstadt / Fußgängerzone entfernt. Das Gebäude ist erkennbar ein Neubau, mit allen damit verbundenen guten Materialien und Ausführungen. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, genauso wie das Bad, in dem allerdings -wie heute fast überall- mehr Wandhaken günstig wären. Der Frühstücksbereich ist sehr geschmacksvoll eingerichtet. Das Frühstück ist in Ordnung. Allerdings wird sehr viel in kleinen Einmalverpackung am Buffet angeboten, was aktuell äußerst negativ auffällt. Im Restaurant kann man abends gut und nicht überteuert essen. An den sehr großzügigen Außenbereich, der allerdings in den benachbarten Parkplatz eines Einkaufsmarktes übergeht, grenzt ein abgezäunter Kinderspielplatz an. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

This is the best hotel in the H Hotels chain. The rooms are very well presented and comfortable. All of the public areas are also lovely. It is a great cosy atmosphere in the winter or a lovely terrace area for a summer evenings drink. The food is fine for a chain hotel and the breakfast is well made and the staff are attentive to make eggs as you wish to have them. It is a little gem off the beaten track. Perhaps the only thing missing would be a spa area or an option for a bath in the room. Such things would make it a very romantic destination.

Us: Two adults and two small kids. Great experience and stay at an authentic castle, taking us back to the middle age. The service were good and so was the cleanliness. The design of the rooms stayed true to the style of the castle, and it was a fun experience walking to the top of rapunzels tower. We had both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, both living up to the expectations in terms of quality. During dinner, we were sitting at the terrance with a wonderful view of hills and nature. Overall atmosphere is pleasant and authentic and a place to stay for couples with or without children.

I stayed in one of the suites on June 5th through 7th. Sadly the room was not ready by the time of arrival, not at 3pm and only around 4 pm did I gain access. After a long day on the road that is not what one was hoping for and the silly excuses or the complementary drink did not help one bit. The hotel is a wonderfully restored old Burg with interesting art and furniture which makes for an eclectic, but winning mix. There is an impressive looking old style restaurant, an attraktive center bar with neat sitting and an open fire place and a spacious outdoor terrace. Some parking is in front of the door. The suite was carefully restored leaving many of the beautiful original elements with touches of the new. However when entering there was sweltering heat and a strong smell of sewage permeating through all the rooms. The first flaw, no air conditioning. If the heat is unbearable on a June day what about the middle of the summer? That puzzled me. The smell originated probably from the free standing bathtub trap which, rarely used, most likely did not seal properly. The sink in the bathroom although stylish was impractical as there literally was no space to put anything needed down. One had to spread out the toiletries all over the bathroom. Very inconvenient. Other than that shower and furnishings were of good quality and gave the suite a nice appearance. The bedroom was in style and bed and mattress were conducive to a good night sleep (thankfully the heat dissipated with an open window but in exchange allowed for street noise). The complementary breakfast was generous and offered many choices. The staff in general proved competent and pleasant. Over all this could have been a wonderful experience if the a/c, smell and room readyness would be improved

7726michaelvWe dont have anything negative to say about the hotel. Everything was working very well. The hotel is relatively new and well maintained. Service in the reception is good and all of the facilities are working as they should. Absolutely no issues on that part and considering the price, then it is an absolute bargain. We also visited the restaurant at the hotel and that was on the other hand a disaster. It was quite booked on the day we visited, because of some corporate event. This resulted in the waitress being a bit stressed, but it was still handled very badly. We waited half an hour to get the menu. After that we was informed that some of the courses couldnt be served, because they were out of different things, but we got an option to order one burger, which was not served on the homemade bread that normally was served, but on some cheap bun from the supermarket. Considering Covid-19 we also observed that menu's were just delivered from one occapied table to another - without any cleaning - and after we had observed that one guest had been licking their fingers between every side swap in the menu. Disgusting and in the current covid situation absolutely not acceptable. In total. 5 star for the hotel. 1 star for the restaurant. Would happily go back to visit hotel, but the restaurant visit was not acceptable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in the middle of Kassel (Köningsplatz) and 10 minutes walk to the Documenta fifteen centre ruruHaus , Fridericianum museum and Documenta halle. Trams and busses nearby to all places. Friendly personal. The breakfast room was large and the breakfast buffet was very well a good start for exploring Kassel with all sort of bread, serials, fruit, drinks, coffee and sprudel wasser. My room was in the new part of the hotel. It had everything one can expect and – as an elderly person – i liked to have a shower. So that I do not have to climb into a bath to take a shower. I liked it also very much that I could dim the lights in the room and bathroom. And also that I could open the doors to the French balcony to let the fresh air in. Diner tip Go to ”al fiume”, italian restaurant at the Fulda. Excellent Italian food.

GGuest UserIt is positive that I have been sleeping quite well although I received the room rather than unpleasant. In addition, the staff is very friendly. I received a strong plastic smell in the room that probably came from the closed plastic hangs. It was fortunately warm enough and not too warm to leave the window open. The bathroom was very generous, but it had to be at the roofs. In the hall on the wall that is bordered with the shower, the tape is well and partially dissolved. The reviews of the colleagues were mixed, if necessary there are also more pleasant rooms here. It wasn't my and I won't come again.

We stayed two nights with our two kids in the tower suite with a great 360 degrees view over Kassel, we could even see the Hercules from our room. The kids immediately felt at home in this spacious room. The location of the hotel is very central and there is a parking garage under the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the free public transport tickets that we used to discover Kassel. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice and fresh food. I would recommend this hotel if you are travelling to Kassel with your family.

Yyinshen1986The location is very good, beside the train station, very close to the shopping mall City Point, and very close to the Municipal Plaza. It is very convenient to stay in the hotel. It is not recommended to buy breakfast at the hotel. Chinese people may not be comfortable with it, except that it is salty or salty. The accommodation environment is okay, don't have high expectations in a small city like Kassel, this one is pretty good. There is a Shandong restaurant 300m away from the hotel, which can be found on the public comment, and the taste is not bad. It is a good choice for missing Chinese food!
