The room is very different from the picture. Room condition is dirty and old(the worst condition I stayed in Zanzibar) The worst thing was the attitude of reception staffs and the boss. They are too rude and disrespectful and unpleasant. Because the room is very different from the picture, I requested refund, the boss responded in rude manner and no refund. The room is rusty and dirty. The drain hole in bathroom is clogged with hair. And swimming is impossible because ebb tide. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. Thank you for no refund and giving me an opportunity to share my worst experience ever with whom considering Diamonds Mapenzi. I recommend you never make a reservation. Please do go other hotel.

We had the most fantastic time at diamonds Mapenzi! The staff are so friendly and helpful, every meal was outstanding with a nice variety daily, the beach and facilities as well as entertainment were incredible. I would highly recommend a stay at this resort.

Very nice, intimate hotel with a beautiful beach. The rooms are located in African style houses, set on terraces, most of which have sea views. Our family superior apartment was very spacious (2 rooms) with a large bathroom. Food was delicious, there was a large selection of dishes, freshly made pasta, freshly grilled meat and seafood. There were special evenings 3 times a week and dinner was served on the beach or by the pool. The pool was nice, although there could be more sunbeds. Pool bar and beach bar served delicous coctails. Hotel staff were very friendly and seemed to enjoy their job very much. We always felt well looked after.

We had the best stay here in June. The staff were amazing! The food was to die for and everyone just went the extra mile to make our stay special! Definitely recommend! The location is beautiful, away from the hustle and bustle but also close enough to all activities/trips and nungwi.

Good hotel, good services. Nice and professional team. Located in a beautiful area. Animation is minimalist but this is a pro for us. In particular we enjoyed the music which is always quiet and never loud. Very good food. We also recommend to use the Diving/Snorkeling office which is integrated to the hotel, on the beach: it is professional and the pricing is attractive compare to what we saw outside. (45 $ half a day of snorkeling in a beautiful area with a very professional team. I think it is fair). Only bad point for us: There was some noise during our stay because there is intensive work in a brand new hotel nearby, plus they are reworking some of their room. The hotel will be closed for few month next year as they plan to deeply rework the main area with the pool.

Amazing all-inclusive hotel with lots of vegetarian options at meal times! We loved the themed dinners at the different locations at the resort. Asante Sana for my making my sons 6th birthday super special! Special mention to the chefs Mr Victor and Mr Vinod for always checking on my family and I if the vegetarian food was sufficient. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the yoga and aqua aerobics and the swahili lesson. There are a bit of steps to get around the resort so mobility impaired guests may find it a problem to get around. I will come back in a heartbeat!

Just returning home from a relaxing week at this resort after a weeks safari in Kenya - fantastic resort . All staff friendly and always smiling - nothing is a problem. Rooms are nice with great air con . I must say though the star of the show is chef Victor . Our daughter has a life threatening peanut allergy and Victor was absolutely amazing he cooked every meal separately for her - whatever she wanted to ensure we had a safe stay !!! Thank you so much Victor . We had a day out to prison island , the sand bar and a walk around stone town - highly recommend

The hotel is amazing , we were on the romantic dinner definitely will recommend for anyone who is looking for dinner with beautiful view. Staff is very friendly and professional, especially Michael and Yassir. Rooms are very nice and clean. Food is amazing!!

Here now. Wow, how nice is this place. And how amazing are all the staff. Every single one works so hard and always smiling. There is always a great selection of food at all meal times. The entertainment guys are great fun and always happy to interact.Bar staff make amazing cocktails. The food and beverage manager is so good he work so good. Staff in the restaurant and bars so good zinab. And zababoo they are so nice Hakuna matata ♥️
