Tropicana Kendwa Beach Hotel

A hotel with an ideal location, one minute from the sea. Excellent service, very clean rooms, varied and delicious food (thanks to chef Nourdin). I highly recommend Tropicana Kendwa Beach

We are currently relaxing at the hotel as a group of four. Meals - breakfast, dinner. On the first day we arrived early. Check-in at 14.00. Early check-in is $20. We decided to check into one room early to change clothes and go swimming. We waited two hours for the room to be prepared. At the reception they said that breakfast on the day of arrival is not included, a baby barbecue costs $5 per person. We came for breakfast and they said $7 per person. We were surprised, we are told at the reception they told us 5. The answer was “then 5.” Yesterday we decided to drink beer. The menu is $2. We took 6 beers for three. First they brought Kilimanjaro, then the safari (it’s worse and cheaper), they said Kilimanjaro was over. They brought a bill for $18. We were surprised again, 6*2=12, where does 18 come from? They bring us another menu, where the pen corrected it to $3. We say that you brought us a different price. They sighed for a long time that they would have to pay from their earnings. We agreed on $15 so that there would be no offense on both sides. Although the sediment, of course, remained. Let's go to the beach. There, in the bar where the billiards are located, they bought Kilimanjaro beer for $2 a bottle and no one cheated with the prices. Regarding the hotel room. We have two superiors. One of them is decent, big, as befits a superior. Another, in my opinion, standard, as it is small, is the view of the pool. The room has a bed, a narrow passage on both sides and that’s it. The air conditioner barely works. The safe in one room was broken, which was reported to the reception on the first day. Fourth day, no one did anything. The toilet flush button in the second room was broken; my husband repaired it himself. There's not much to do in the evening. It gets dark at seven. The evening show is monotonous. We walked along the beach in the evening, in other hotels it was more civilized: acrobatic performances, a snake man. The sunbeds on the beach are torn, more or less decent, occupied from morning to evening with someone’s things. The ocean is gorgeous. Would we return to this hotel - definitely not. Better to go to Cuba. The views of the beach and Caribbean Sea are second to none, and there is plenty of food and entertainment. The flight, some with a transfer, some without a transfer, also in time. And there are ten times more impressions and friendliness in Cuba!

A week ago I returned from a paradise vacation in Tropicana and I already want to go back to the sun, warmth and ocean. The best impressions from a holiday in Zanzibar. We really liked everything. Incredibly responsive and positive staff at the hotel, people are very kind. Every evening there is animation and entertainment. The restaurant has an unusual dish - seafood shovel. I recommend trying it, the presentation is great! Convenient location, just a few minutes walk to the beach. Fine white sand, sheer delight, very wide beach. We enjoyed walking to Nungwi when there was no tide, it was colorful and interesting, there were cafes and shops along the way. Cozy room with a small balcony overlooking the garden. Woke up at 6 am without an alarm clock in a tropical paradise. The hotel has pools, but we preferred the ocean and spent most of our time on the beach, it's paradise! The sun is hot, you have to be careful here, be sure to take a strong cream and a remedy for burns will not hurt, in Zanzibar they found nothing except aloe. The ocean is fabulous, it’s worth flying to Zanzibar just for this. Entering the water is very comfortable, the water is like fresh milk, transparent and incredibly beautiful. Photos from the Internet are true, it really is. On the beach, as elsewhere, sometimes merchants approach, but if you make it clear that you are not interested, they quickly leave and do not bother you. The hotel has its own area on the beach where you can relax on sun loungers and hide from the scorching sun. We read a lot of reviews about the Safari and did not deny ourselves the pleasure)) we went for one day and the feeling that we were “in the animal world”, we didn’t want to leave at all. We are already planning a trip for next year and will definitely repeat the safari but for 2-3 days, the experience will be unforgettable! I advise everyone to visit Zanzibar. This is a very colorful, positive, tasty and exotic place. I don’t even know what to compare it with, you just have to visit here and feel this a**osphere, or better yet, more than once!!!

My husband and I flew to Zanzibar for the first time and chose Tropicana because it was picturesque. We really liked that the hotel is small. When vacationing in different countries, we prefer small, cozy hotels to experience the whole flavor of the country. We lived in the Garden building, the room was spacious, there was an extra bed if needed. Balcony and direct access to the pool. Calm and quiet. We love to wake up early. Of course, here it is pure delight, the wonderful singing of birds is better than any music. Meals: breakfast in a restaurant next to our building. We often had lunch or dinner at the same restaurant, everything was very tasty and fresh. Prices are reasonable, around $10 per person, with a drink. We ate plenty of seafood)) We quickly became friends with the staff. It’s impossible to do otherwise at Tropicana; the guys are very friendly and open. They do their work with soul. There were tourists at the hotel who vacationed again and this is not surprising, I really want to come back here. Advice for vacationers, be sure to take sunscreen with maximum protection. This is the equator, you burn instantly even under a canopy. We bought light tunics in Zanzibar and spent the first days swimming in them. The ocean is stunning, clear water of turquoise shades, a huge beach with white sand. At first it dazzles your eyes with beauty and you can’t believe it’s real. A real paradise on earth! Beauty! We were delighted! Tropicana remains in our hearts ❤️ and we will definitely return!
