Jambo jambo! Couples trip 5th Jan- 15th Jan 2024. All inclusive. My experience at this hotel with the customer service from the staff made this holiday one of the best I've ever had! Slight delay in review as I wanted to give it the justice it deserves.  Room: The limited sea view is very limited, but this resort is on the beach so if you want sea view, you can take the short walk approx 5 mins down to the beach and have all the beautiful sea view you want. The rooms are cleaned daily in the morning. The staff come by again in the evening between 6pm-7pm to change your beach towels, tidy up and spray the room with insect repellent, which was a very thoughtful addition. There is a mini-bar stocked with 1 bottle of water, 1 fanta, 1 coca-cola, 1 sprite and 1 Safari beer. There is also a 2nd bottle of water supplied to the room, not kept in the fridge. Be prepared for the almost daily blackouts, which last no more than 2 mins.  Food: Incredible! There is a lot of Indian influence in the food, which makes it very flavoursome. We did have a bad tummy one day, the restaurant staff made us a tea for breakfast, lunch and dinner which sorted us out, so the tummy bug only lasted a day or 2. Breakfast is 6.30am-9.30am. Lunch is 12.30pm-2.30pm. Dinner is 7.30pm-9.30pm. The buffet restaurant is great. There are 3 inclusive a la carte restaurants with unlimited booking, Indian, Italian and Thai. The Indian a la carte restaurant is the best. There is a fourth a la carte restaurant on the beach which you can pay for. Drinks: Were okay. Premium spirits cost more. Didn't drink very much.  Entertainment: We didn't get involved in the daily activities, but did stick around for the evening entertainment which is around 8.30pm-9.15pm. This was good to watch and they call people up to dance with the entertainment team every night.  Beach: Has some seaweed and there are quite a lot of sea urchins, so wet shoes are advisable. The sand is beautiful and white, the water is turquoise and clear in some areas and semi-opaque in other areas. The beach is not completely private, so expect the locals to approach you daily trying to sell things. Do shop around, as they will always sell high, but go lower if you barter with them.  Staff: The friendliest staff ever! Special shout out to my fave person Lucy who is a waitress in the breakfast and lunch buffet super, super sweet. The best way to start the day is seeing Lucy's big bright smile with her sweet voice and welcoming “Jambo Melissa”. I actually cried on the last day saying goodbye to her. Lucy will forever hold a special place in my heart.  Ratiba, the restaurant hostess on the reservations desk. Biggest, brightest,  welcoming smile. Makes you feel good when you get to the restaurant. This sweet welcome sets your evening right.   Mahendra, the food and beverage manager. Super kind and friendly, even went out of his way to have red snapper prepared for me as a special request on our last day. Mahendra was so friend

We came to this resort as a family of 3, with our daughter who has a milk allergy. The resort is the perfect size not too big but also not too small. It’s not only so picturesque but so clean and well kept. The food is excellent. Rana the head chef was incredible with our daughter. In fact, she still speaks about him daily he had that much of an impact on us. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt safe knowing he would oversee anything she orders etc. Drinks and service during the day on the beach also was incredible with Juma Simba always around to help. The hotel is immediately on the beach with plenty of sun loungers that are always available. Room is a beautifully traditional layout with a large shower and mosquito nets over the beds. The maids do a turn down service in which they come to spray the rooms at night. The hotel has a lovely games area in which our 10 year old loved going to several times a day. In fact the staff were so lovely they would play games with her, do her hair etc which made our holiday very special. If anyone is contemplating going to this hotel definitely do it and get it booked. We are well travelled and it ticked every box for us with no critique at all. All staff are just wonderful and we are hoping to come back next August.

This hotel is spotless, in the two weeks we have stayed here we have not seen any litter in the beautiful gardens which are very well maintained. The staff are all very pleasant and love to engage with the guests, every morning they try to teach us a little more Swahili, the rooms are very well cleaned every day and the beach towels are replaced automatically in the room every evening. The food in all of the restaurants is exceptional , my favourite is the Thai, all restaurants are easily booked at the desk by the buffet restaurant. The locals on the beach can be persistent but are never rude, if you don’t want anything just tell them and they will leave you. The hotel tours of the local village is a must as you will see how the local people live, recommend bringing sweets for the children and pencils and books for the school. This is one of the best run hotels we have stayed in around the world and this I think is down to a great management who are constantly walking around and talking with the guests, anything you want you just need to ask them. Just a note if you have mobility issues book rooms on the lower level near the beach and restaurants as there are a few steps to the rooms on the upper level which are fine for able bodied people.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa and Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge during our vacation in May 2024. Our experience at both locations was nothing short of exceptional. The hospitality provided by the staff was truly outstanding. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. The staff at both resorts were attentive, courteous, and consistently went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa impressed us with its beautiful surroundings, luxurious accommodations, and excellent amenities. The beachfront location was perfect for relaxation, and the variety of dining options catered to all tastes. The staff's dedication to service was evident in every interaction, making our stay memorable. Similarly, Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge provided an unparalleled experience. The lodge's stunning setting, combined with top-notch facilities, offered a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. The staff's professionalism and warm hospitality were key highlights of our stay, ensuring that every aspect of our visit was flawless. Overall, our vacation was greatly enhanced by the exceptional service and hospitality we received at both Neptune resorts. We highly recommend Neptune Pwani Beach Resort & Spa and Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge to anyone seeking a luxurious and welcoming retreat. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

A fabulous holiday, total relaxation but with plenty to do if you wanted. Staff were super friendly (Jambo Jambo) Food was amazing, plenty of sun loungers around, well kept grounds, rooms were fantastic, absolutely beautiful. A bar tender called Moses made our trip extra special with his super friendly and helpful nature, definite management staff for the future. We went on a few stunning and memorable trips, stone town and spice farm, prison island to see the giant tortoises , snorkelling at Mnemba island and a beautiful trip to the vanishing island with a Bbq lunch. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel for a fabulous holiday. I am quite fussy on standards and quality, this hotel exceeded all.

We stayed two weeks at this hotel and overall did we enjoy and would we recommend? We would say yes. We stayed in room 177 and I have to say it was excellently positioned, being on the second floor (top floor as all buildings two floors) giving a lovely view. I would say upfront I don’t believe this hotel is a 5 star, especially compared to the food / drink quality and facilities of such brands as Melia the level, occidental, sandals or Sheraton. That said I feel the service in the main is excellent, especially in the ala-carte restaurants. My criticisms of this hotel would be the quality of the food in the buffet was poor, the drinks being local were very hit and miss, the service can be hit and miss at times as there doesn’t appear the amount of staff. The opening times and amount of venues was quite rigid which is different to many all inclusive resorts. The positives though, that made me give 5 stars were: 1. The view and location - a real wow factor on the beach, yes there are hawkers but they are no real bother 2. Speciality restaurants- you can book as many times as you want and the Thai and Indian in particular are very good 3. The spa - a really hidden gem that is deserted, spend the day up there with a pool, jacuzzi and on your own. Treatments were also fairly priced 4. The service - some members of staff were simply fantastic and that made a real difference to the holiday and I would say some of the best service we have had. 5. Value, the price was fair compared to those other brands

Very nice place with such a nice staff. We entered the room and most beautiful surprise was waiting for us. Spacious room, lot of space. There were power outages during our stay, but hotel’l backup power would kick in within few seconds. They have the best bar tender in the workd, Mr Titus, from the pool bar. You just tell him how do you feel and he makes the perfect coctail for you. Neptune has to keep this guy. You can have most brautiful hotel, but because of the people like him guests return to your resort. Menus are nice, but for the hotel of your rating, we expected a little bit more. African night was great, showing the guests local cousine. During our stay there were not many guests, making it quiet and relaxing stay.
