A True Golden Paradise — Our 50th Wedding Celebration We stayed at Gold Zanzibar Beach House & Spa to celebrate our upcoming Golden Wedding Anniversary, and it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives. Everything about this place is pure perfection — a wide white-sand beach, crystal-clear water, and an impeccably maintained resort. The staff are warm, kind, and attentive, always nearby but never intrusive. The food is exceptional, fresh, and full of flavor, and drinks are served wherever you wish — by the pool, on the beach, or right on your villa terrace. When the hotel management learned that we had booked a seaside dinner to celebrate our 50 years together, they surprised us with an unforgettable gift — an upgrade to the best villa in the resort, located right on the oceanfront with a private pool. During dinner, the restaurant team sang and brought us a beautiful anniversary cake, made especially for us. It was an incredibly emotional and joyful moment that we will never forget. We also felt completely safe and cared for, even during the post-election period when there were some concerns in the media. The hotel’s security and professionalism made us feel perfectly protected and relaxed at all times. We have traveled a lot around the world, but nowhere else have we experienced such genuine hospitality, generosity, and warmth. An unforgettable family experience. The entire staff was incredibly kind and helpful. Congratulations to everyone, especially Mathias, a very funny entertainer, and Joseph, who was also very attentive whenever he met us. I don't know everyone's names, but many others were there for us. The resort is worthy of a 5* hotel in an African setting. The Kilimanjaro restaurant always exceeded our expectations, both for the variety and quality of the food and for the daily shows they put on during dinner. The beach, the sunset, and the starfish made the week unforgettable. The only downside was the somewhat tiresome approach of the locals on the beach to sell their items or services, especially in the first few days. Other than that, I have nothing to say. I recommend this resort; it's unlikely to disappoint. I give the resort top marks and especially to the entire staff—gardeners, cooks, etc.

We stayed at Gold Zanzibar for our honeymoon and it was perfect! We stayed in the garden villa which was so spacious, and the private plunge pool was very fun to have. The staff was all so helpful, and even had our room set up with a complimentary bottle of champagne and fruit on arrival. Our butler, Jackeline, was so kind and attentive as well! There are shows with dinner each night which are very fun, and the buffet food is PHENOMENAL! We also had a body wrap and massage at the spa which was lovely, and did a spice tour and sunset dhow sailboat cruise through the hotel which were great. The hotel even gifted us a romantic dinner on the beach and the sailboat cruise as honeymoon presents which was very generous. The private beach cabanas were so nice to have, as the portion of the beach where it becomes public can be a bit hectic. Highly recommend staying here!

We visited the Gold Zanzibar hotel with our 3 teenage boys for a week in August and had the most amazing time! The food was incredible, so fresh, healthy and plenty of variety for everyone! The chef made the effort to visit tables after dinner to get feedback and took tips on anything else guests would like to see on the menu, truly commendable! Ali, Ayesha and Thomas were so generous with their invitations for drinks, dinner and other activities, always keen to know how their guest experience could be improved to ensure everyone has the very best time at their hotel. It was hugely appreciated! All the staff were amazing and truly what makes this hotel so special . The beach and activities team were energetic, friendly and always at hand to spend time with the younger guests with volleyball, table tennis and football. Not to mention their dancing skills, which were something else !! Ali organised an incredible day out swimming with dolphins and snorkelling which was definitely the highlight of our trip! The rooms were specious and very well maintained, we really couldn’t find fault with anything at this hotel! Thank you Gold Zanzibar for making our time on the island so special ! We hope to return!
