Top notch experience! Managed very well. They don’t miss anything making stay unforgettable. Perfect add-on after African Safari. Located on beach at northern end of Zanzibar about hour drive from airport. Provide beach security so local beach vendors unable to enter private areas.

Sometimes you visit a 5 star resort and you walk away disappointed. This was not the case with Zuri. This is probably the nicest resort I’ve ever stayed at after staying at 5 star resorts/hotels in America, Asia and Europe. My daughter and I stayed here for 4 nights after 10 days on safari. Everything here is exceptional. The food, the service, the staff, the activities, etc. This is a modern 5 star resort with all of the amenities you could ask for. The grounds and rooms are immaculate. The beach is perfect. We will definitely be back.

Only stayed 4 nights, wish we could’ve stayed longer. It was a great experience. The rooms were always clean and the food was tasty. There are three restaurants, with one being on the beach. The beach and ocean were great, with access to kayaks, paddle boards, etc. the pool and deck was great too. They offer a spice garden tour right by the reception for free. The fitness center had a good amount of equipment. Everyone there was very nice and polite.

I checked in yesterday at Zuri Zanzibar and arrived with high expectations, but my experience was mixed. The resort is set in a beautiful, natural environment that combines luxury with the charm of Zanzibar, yet some areas were disappointing. Upon arrival, there was no one to greet us or direct us to our room, and when I needed to use the restroom because I had no guidance , I was oddly questioned about where I was going—strange behavior for a luxury resort. The rooms themselves are spacious and thoughtfully designed for coming all way from USA for 18 hours for my birthday for room that offer no views, facing dense foliage rather than the ocean . Dining was a highlight; the food was fresh and well-prepared. However, I booked half-board with the understanding that it would include beverages, as per international standards. To my disappointment, I was charged for everything, even sparkling water made in-house, at $3 a bottle, which seemed excessive. ( filtered water !!! Do you believe that …) Small issues with service added up. There were no hangers in the room, and when I requested an iron, I waited 45 minutes before I had to leave with wrinkled clothes for my lunch reservation. When I tried to ask the stuff to speak with a manager about the meaning of half board , the staff seemed evasive and avoided following up with me. Transportation was another issue. The hotel quoted $130 each way for a taxi, but I was able to arrange a private car and tour through a local contact for $250 total, covering two full days of exploring, including stops at restaurants, snorkeling, and tours of Stone Town and Prison Island, with entrance fees, guide, boat, drinks, and equipment all included. When I requested a late check-out, I was told I’d need to pay for an extra night, even though we’d be leaving by midnight. It feels like the resort is consistently looking to upcharge, which is disappointing at this level of supposed luxury. Overall, while Zuri Zanzibar offers beautiful surroundings and flavorful meals, the service lacks organization, and their approach to inclusivity and international standards falls short. I’d recommend this resort with caution: while the property is stunning, be prepared for unexpected charges and a focus on upselling at every turn. I am even afraid to tell them it my Birthday because the will make cake and charge me more

We spent 5 nights at Zuri Zanzibar and by the end, definitely did not want to leave! The team at Zuri made extra effort to ensure our Honeymoon trip was made special and for that we cannot thank them enough. From the reception staff right through to the grounds people and restaurant / bar services, everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Bora who was very warm and really did go above and beyond, making us feel like family. For us personally, the hotel itself strikes a great balance between relaxation and "party". Compared to some of the hotels next door, the hotel is very quiet but still offers some great evening entertainment. A special mention to the duo guitarists who played on the evening of the 4th-Sep who were extremely talented. We were not too bothered by the vendors who would approach you as you b-line for the waters as they, although were very persistent, were always very friendly. In any case, security presence along the beach front did make us feel comfortable. Foods options were fantastic and not too repetitive, offering different themes each night at the main restaurant. We also were able to experience the Bahari beach dinner one evening which we highly recommend. Thank you again to the entire team at Zuri for making this trip extra special for us. We certainly will be visiting again!
