Very scenic location. Rooms were good. Bathroom spacious No jet spray in toilet. Water in basin and bath was salty. No elevator so not suitable for guest having physical challenges Restaurants was expensive Pool bit so clean Overall ok ok but good beach access

The hotel is very quiet, clean and charming; its structure suits perfectly the nature around it. The view is wonderful, with the white, soft sand lying just in front of you. The hotel offers also free activities such as yoga three times a week. Even bycicles are available in front of the reception. The quality of the toilet products is excellent and the food is very tasty. All the staff, expecially the receptionists and the barmen, are extremely professional and friendly. Thank you very much to Anja and all the managers. Clotilde and family (Italy)

Really great place to relax and chill, and listen to the sound of the ocean. We spent 5 nights here and enjoyed it a lot. The food was really great, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot too all, including Ania, Maciek and Lukasz.

The hotel was just perfect!! The beach bungalows are beautiful, comfortable and very clean. The food in the restaurant was extremly tasty and the stuff was so nice especialy the owner :) The swimming pool is nice and quiet and the beach is one step from there. The zanzibar magic boutique hotel is highly recommended!! We enjoyed very much from everything!!

I'm a bit ambivalent about writing this review as the hotel had its ups and downs. The good things first... a very nice beach front area with the garden, swimming pool, deck chairs, and the bar/restaurant. The staff were very courteous and helpful throughout. There were kayaks and bicycles to borrow, which I recommend doing. But then the biggest letdown were the rooms. The website boasts comfortable 35 m2 rooms. In reality they are pretty cramped and, if you stay on the ground floor, very dark. They are nowhere near the advertised 35 m2 unless you factor in the bathroom and the veranda in the equation. Then the food... we only had a few meals here as we were on B&B but it was hit or miss. The seafood was very good, but then we had a couple of different chicken dishes that were below average. There's really no reason to go for a full board plan as there are numerous lodges and local shacks within walking distance that offer excellent dining options. All in all the hotel was not bad to stay at, but we got the impression that the "boutique" part of the name was slapped on for being able to charge higher rates than are motivated by what is on offer.

We had diner at Magic 1 time during our vacation. The restaurant is really close to the beach so it can be windy. In our case they lowered the screens which was perfect. They have a limited menu but what they have is good.

I spent 8 days in this hotel with family. The structure is immersed in the forest and is directly on the sea. You reach the hotel from the main road, along a dirt road. The impact is Wowww Where have I ended up??? The parking lot is in the middle of a forest of palm trees and plants, you can't see the structure. Only after walking along a path still among the foliage, do you glimpse the main area, a structure with a very beautiful makuti roof. A small reception welcomes you and a very kind, professional and knowledgeable guy named Griat immediately makes you feel at ease. The central structure is simple, a bar, a restaurant, upstairs a place where you can relax in the shade pampered by the sea breeze and a small library. There is a massage corner (a corner) not a spa. The restaurant is à la carte and offers menus of the day. Everything is well cooked, portions are not abundant but unfortunately the menu is repetitive. The prices are high compared to the local average. After 4 evenings we decided to eat our dinners at other restaurants in other much more convenient resorts with many more options. There are NO restaurants in the area unless you take a car and go to the nearest one which is about 20 minutes away (I don't recommend it at night). Breakfast: always the same, served and not buffet style. Rooms: they are a bit small for two, let alone three! Spartan climate and blades help you stay cool, hot and cold water at will. There is a minibar. Clean rooms and ok staff. Roaming phones do NOT work! WI FI a nightmare: continuous power outages lead to routers being reset and passwords having to be changed. The signal in the room reaches with difficulty. Sleep quality, the mattresses are a bit old and it's hard. Services on the beach: sunbeds and nothing else. Small but nice pool. Beach Boys galore, a constant disturbance and obsession with you. What can I say, a nice holiday but the property should invest something in: Communications, a more powerful wi fi would be perfect, given that there was no TV. Restaurant: vary the menu and offer local dishes that may cost less (like 500 MT later). Bedrooms/bathroom: room furnishings and mattresses to be reviewed, bathroom bare and old. However, the holiday was beautiful, relaxing and the staff was kind, professional and friendly, especially Griat.

We finished our safari in Zanzibar and arrived at this beautiful hotel located on a very long and beautiful beach. The surroundings of the hotel are not pleasant because there are constructions around but you can't see anything once inside the hotel. The staff is very pleasant. The rooms are a good size. The restaurant overlooks the beach. The food is very tasty there. The menu changes every lunchtime and evening. A special mention to the hotel’s massage service.

The hotel is ideally located geographically for visiting the island from north to south Comfortable and well-equipped room The beach in front of the hotel is superb but be careful due to the tides presence of algae on the sand and swimming only at high tide it there are also Beach boys but like almost everywhere on the island ......... Note loan of bicycles and kayaks friendly for cycling to reach the restaurants or other services (diving center) nearby or the kayak to go to the coral reef. The staff is welcoming and very friendly The catering and breakfast are very good, tasty and varied dishes The negative points now because there are some The presence of wind almost every afternoon until the end of the evening, the hotel it has nothing to do with it but it must be pointed out, it contributed to our decision to visit other villages and beaches on the island which are not without interest such as Kendwa, Nungwi or make excursions to Stone Town, the Rock.... ....... The road to access the hotel is in poor condition worse than a safari track and this forces taxis to make a detour of several minutes to get out during visits or excursions..... .... a trial ! In the end the results are rather positive but the balance must be reassessed according to your criteria in choosing this hotel!
