An LAN Homestay (Kashgar Ancient City Resort)

This is a pretty good inn in the ancient town. The host is very warm and considerate. The facilities are relatively new and the layout of the rooms is relatively reasonable. The location of the store is very good, and the check-in attractions Budai Alley and Rainbow Alley are nearby. The only thing that could be improved might be the breakfast, which was not rich and distinctive enough.

The second time I stayed at Anlan, I was still pleasantly surprised. The proprietress remembered us and specially arranged a fruit platter and free drinks for us. The butler service was also warm and thoughtful. Because of the May Day traffic jam, it was 1 a.m. when we got back to Lashi from Taxkorgan. The boss and his wife personally picked us up at the west entrance. I am so grateful. I can say that Anlan has the best sanitary environment among all the B&Bs we stayed in in the ancient city of Kashgar. The design of the B&B also combines ethnic characteristics with modern style. Before leaving, we were given some very exquisite local souvenirs. Next time we come to Kashgar, we will choose Anlan to stay.

Overall it was good but not too much beyond expectations. After all, it was ranked number one and my expectations were a bit high. The good: The service is great, they help with luggage pick-up and drop-off, and even when there are no spaces in the west gate parking lot, they still find someone to help wait in line; the location is convenient, in the west district of the ancient city, which is slightly less commercial than the east district, and there is Ye Ye's Nan at the door, which is spicy and delicious; the souvenirs and daily desserts are very attentive; the owner downstairs opened a bar, and the Long Island iced tea is good. Bad: poor soundproofing; the room is a bit small, I didn't check the size carefully when booking; breakfast has everything but nothing special; parking is really hard, it takes 10 minutes to walk to the parking lot
