We stayed in the cottage D, very old facilities, it’s a nice place but they should consider change their all appliances in the room, cos too old already. It’s very inconvenient that they don’t have a shuttle from cottage to lobby, we need to call them everytime we go out instead. The ski place was all man made snow, we were disappointed. The hotel is located quite far from Karuizawa JR station. There is a pickup bus service every half an hour outside the south exit of the station. However the bus is very small and can be quite full at times, causing people to rush onto the bus. It would be better if the hotel could set up a better queue-up system or adjust the frequency of the pickup bus service. By the way you can deposit luggage at the customer centre next to the pickup bus stop and have them transferred to the hotel for you. I thought the hotel did not advertise the service enough as it is very useful and effective in creating more passenger space in the pickup bus. Breakfast at the hotel is not buffet style, so went to the Prince Karuizawa West hotel to have breakfast instead. During non-peak hours the hotel offers individual transportation for free so that is definitely a plus. The Momiji hot spring is definitely a must-visit. Clean, modern, hygienic, exactly what I look for in a hot spring. Overall service is excellent.

We had a wonderful stay in Karuizawa, with Marriot providing a good environment for our rest overnight. The hotel room is quite spacious though a bit old style. Short driving distance to all tourist spots nearby! The car park is good and was free! Will definitely come back again!

This hotel is a bit remote to those not driving . But the rate is very reasonable and by taxi is short distance to everywhere near train and outlet for shopping n food . The hotel restaurant for dinner is very good with live music and cost is very reasonable with good service . But you need to do reservation in advance . There is a big supermarket a few steps away that you could buy fresh produce to cook simple meal in your room’s kitchen . The public pool is sufficient and cleanliness is fair . Overall a value for money hotel .

I booked two nights separately. The boss is like a foreigner. It is indeed Japanese. I am not good at Japanese. I communicated with translation software. I asked him some questions. He gave me advice and helped me. Breakfast is available every day. Three can be picked. I ate two, the amount is large, very delicious, Western breakfast, I rented a bicycle for a day, very happy, Karuizawa is really a good place, I want to come once in summer, maybe next year, maybe the next year! Definitely! The last photo I should take with my mobile phone, haha!

I Like the cleanliness of the hotel. Room is spacious. The front desk staff could communicate in English. Good if you drive there. Else, it’s a distance from the train station. St Paul church is just opposite of the hotel. There’s also a Japanese shin nearby. There are good bakery shops nearby for breakfast. We were there on 2 weekdays and there’s not many people and not many shops open. The restaurant next to it serves good pasta and pizza. We had our 2 dinners settled there. Karuizawa is a beautiful place. You may have a morning jog nearby and it’s so serene running around.

Nice hotel with 2private hot spring with 24 hrs services We checked in quite late but called the reception before. When we checked in, they already printed all form and guest information to make our check in smooth Breakfast is ok but if not included in the package, it would be but overpriced. The staff are all very friendly and helpful from driver to receptionist to cleaning staff. We have a pleasant stay in this hotel. The pick up service to and from JR station as well as the snow house are a plus for us. Furthermore, the breakfast variety as well as freshness of ingredients are highly appreciated. They are nice enough to give me a ride after my checkout for picking my luggages back . Overall speaking , I will recommend to others of this hotel .

We had an amazing 2 nights stay here! Located about 5 minutes short walk from the train station, there were a convenience store and small supermarket directly across the hotel. We weren't expecting much when we booked as the photos look dated and it was a last minute trip but oh mine, we were pleasantly surprised when we checked in. The room was large and although it was the old room, it had a certain charmimg character to it that we love. The bathroom was also big, clean and had a lovely large bathtub. I love the full range of toiletries they provided and was hoping to buy it in Tokyo to bring home but I couldn't. There was a common area on the second floor where water, juice and coffee were provided and we bought our own sake in the evening and sat there. We spent two peaceful evenings here after dinner and it was lovely. Our only complaint was the bed was rather soft and the pillows were flat. But we will definitely stay here again when we come back to Karuizawa.

One of the best hotel I have stayed in Japan recently. The hotel is new and everything is sparkling clean. Rooms are big and comes with luxury perks usually found in 5 stars hotel like L'Occitane toiletries, 60 inch LED TV, manicure sets (free), ice cubes in pre-packed, etc and not to mention the 2 private onsen (need to reserve online). For the price point, this is a steal. It is walking distance to main shopping street though most shops are closed by 5=6pm. Highly recommended and will definitely stay here again.

Design hotel space is a nice gem. It was a cold winter when we were there. The hotel feels like a warehouse converted into 2 levels. The ceiling in the toilet is not tall. One thing i liked about the hotel is the heater. It is strong and makes the room comfortable at 1 degree outside the hotel. It is about 10 mins walk from the outlet shopping mall. One advice is to finish your shopping in the outlet before the sky turns dark. Reason is because there are no lighting (pitch dark) when we were walking along the street to the hotel. Will definitely stay again if I am at karuizawa with the affordable price and comfortable room.

This is a typical European-style Japanese-style service hotel. Due to language issues, it was not far from Karuizawa Station, so I didn’t ask to be picked up from the station. It took about ten minutes to walk there with my luggage. The foyer is not big, but it is heated by a gas stove. It is very warm. The receptionist is very enthusiastic and has no problem communicating in English. We can only enter by taking off our shoes and putting on hotel slippers. Another receptionist helped us carry our luggage into the room. The receptionist He took us to understand the various facilities and their uses: toiletries and coffee drinks are in the public area and can be picked up by ourselves. The public toilets and bathrooms are very good for our experience in Japanese hotels and are very clean. health. Hearing that we were going to the Outlet, the receptionist offered to drive us. We checked out early the next morning and stored our luggage. He then sent us to the Stone Church. In the afternoon, after we picked up our luggage, he took the initiative to drop us off. When we arrived at Karuizawa Station, another guy opened the window on the second floor and stuck his head out to say goodbye to us warmly. This was indeed warm. The hotel is close to old Karuizawa. It only takes about 10 minutes to walk there. It will be even more convenient if you can ride a bicycle. Karuizawa is beautiful, the hotel is warm, and we will go skiing in winter!
