Maybe it can't be helped since it's a pet-friendly hotel, but the smell was strong.
The smell of urine soaked into the carpet mixed with the smell of Febreze, which must have been from spraying it all the time, and it was disgusting. It was a room like this for that price. I wish they'd done away with the carpet...

And even though I was full, I still ate the Yonmei Ramen. I was really satisfied with the complimentary milk after the bath. It's just the right distance to take a walk to the old Karuizawa Ginza street, so I think it's a great location.

This is my second time staying at this hotel, which I really love. It is a quiet villa area surrounded by greenery, so there are plenty of walking courses, allowing owners and their dogs to relax and enjoy themselves.
The hotel facilities are also excellent, and it is great that you can walk your dog on a lead inside the building. COVID-19 infection prevention measures are in place, and the staff kindly call out to you (in a forced, inaudible way) to avoid crowding at meals and during reception. Thanks to the wonderful customer service from the staff, it was a fun family trip.

This is the best hotel where you can stay with your dog.
The reason I gave it one less star this time is because the smell was strong the moment I entered the room.
I don't know if it was the smell of deodorant or what, but there was a strong smell that I didn't notice during my last stay that didn't go away for a while, so I opened the window (door) to let in fresh air.
The hotel staff were all very friendly and welcoming, so I'm grateful.
