IIdelle YeeEverything here was wonderful -- the room was remarkably warm for the weather (about 0-3 degrees celsius when I was there), but the warmest of all was the lovely sister Deniz, who gave me a welcome that would thaw a winter. I arrived close to 10pm, and she gave me a generous hug, along with bread and jam and cheese.
My room was spacious, the bathroom almost absurdly large, and the bed so comfortable... I slept so well every evening. Sister Deniz also set out a wonderful breakfast spread, with the enthusiastic company of the dogs she has rescued. She is doing many wonderful things for both people and animals in her community, and her home is so lovely -- please stay here if you go to Kars! You don't even have to plan anything -- Deniz helped me arrange everything with a driver to see the Ani ruins and Lake Çıldır for a very reasonable price. Don't contact other guides!
I wish I'd taken photos of the house, but please see the photos of things that are nearby -- Kars Castle and cafes are all within 10 minutes' walking distance, and the airport can be reached within 15-20 minutes by car. I loved every moment of my time here, and recommend this to anyone interested in going to Kars!
We highly recommend staying at the Kars Otel. We were greeted by Seda (hospitality) & Metin (very helpful with everything.). Manager Mehmet oversaw that everything was to our liking. Deniz managed our wood burning fireplace daily. Our room was spacious, comfortable & Super clean. Breakfast was full of local yummy treats, staff made great recommendations where to go & made reservations for dining. We were treated well everywhere we went. Thank you for a great stay. We highly recommend Kars Otel.
A Haramulade hotel. It contains traces of history in every corner. Everyone from the bellboy to the waiter floor attendant to the security guard are doing their best to make you comfortable from the first time they see you. Receptionist AKİF BEY, I would like to thank you specifically for your interest in the information you have given about the environment. Hope to see you again in four months.
GGuest UserHotel center is at walking distance - train station 15-20 minutes walking distance, airport - hotel has 15 minutes of buses from the old gar and the buses can be left to the ski center if you tell the driver that there are buses available and returns from the same place with a shot They'll take you on the tours and what the unit Ani-Çıldır-kafkas museum leads to the day ***and the 300 TRL Hotel rooms are hot, small but not enough for one person, but they don't fear, rooms are very luxurious, but are not so safe as family hotels - Warmen's gentlemen - if you say that Nurbay and Ceyhun have come to walk friends and helpers on all matters and that I should only be a place to sleep and that I should be a place that doesn't force my budget - I would say, do not hesitate.
ZZatu ILocation is ok, the hotel is located in the city centre, walking distance ~15-20 minutes to Kars Castle. A few small supermarkets and local market nearby. The hotel was kind of empty when we were there. We booked a triple economy room. To be honest Room design seem old fashion and needs a makeover. Room is generally clean and bed was comfortable. There is a kettle in the room but bottled water is not provided. There's a bidet spray for my fellow bidet users. Breakfast was limited but it was understandable as there were only a handful of guest around. The same male staff was taking care of the reception counter the entire 2 nights/3 days we were there. He spoke English fairly and was very helpful. He was able to arrange a taxi to and from Ani and the train station for us. There were no tours by the hotel at that time.
