The Kale Hotel is in the centre of Kars, in an easy walking distance from the castle. The Turkish breakfast offers a wonderful spread of local delicacies, such as cheeses, egg dishes, salads, honey, jams and fresh breads complemented by strong Turkish tea. The rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable and the small fridge quite useful. The staff are friendly and respectful.

Kars şehir merkezinde güzel bir otel. Odalar temiz, kahvaltısı orta halli, kahvaltı daha iyi olabilirdi. Peynir çeşidi daha fazla olabilirdi. Lobide oturacak yerler az. Fiyatı uygun sayılır. Otopark cadde üstünde. Otel her yere yürüme mesafesinde.

The cleanliness of the rooms is not bad, but the bathrooms are very bad. The inside of the toilet bowl is green. The shower drain is technically in the wrong place, so no water flows. It becomes a pool. It is not clear whether the floor ceramics inside are clean or dirty.

The hotel is dirty, cold, what more could you want? I couldn't understand how accurate the comments left here are. I've been changing rooms for the third time in two days. Even the floor in the room called a suite is cleaned. Pumpkin seeds are on the carpet, the hair on the carpet sticks to the hotel slippers. It was a big mistake to choose this hotel in this magical city where I came for a touristic visit. I wanted to share it so that future guests do not make the same mistake.

Ночевали в этом отеле раз пять в прежние годы. Последний раз останавливались здесь в 2015г. За это время уровень отеля стал минимум на звезду ниже. Персонал стал малочисленным, исчезла форма и корректность. Помню, был прекрасный холл, шикарная стойка... Нет, теперь все выглядит весьма посредственно. Исчез прекрасный ресторан на верхнем этаже с круговой панорамой, с десятью видами сыра на завтрак - теперь дешёвый завтрак в невзрачном помещении первого этажа с прямым выходом на улицу (зимой там буде наверняка колотун). Сантехника с тех пор не менялась и устарела. Впрочем, горячая вода была, постель была чистой, клопов не было. Из плюсов: размещение, удобный подъезд, наличие в 100м бесплатной парковки (не охраняемой), через дорогу отличный ресторан. Кстати, парковка при отеле с утра уже становится платной, имейте ввиду. Короче деградация отого объекта налицо, но переночевать - вполне себе.
