Amoopi Bay

We stayed at Hotel Amoopy Bay for a week. Our room was in the new part of the hotel, there was still no planting, but the room was very large and bright, with a direct view of the sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, we would love to come back.

My leaf and I have just returned from a week's holiday in Greece in Karpathos, staying at the Amoopy Bay Hotel. Karpathos is wonderful from a naturalistic point of view, I was dissatisfied with the services offered by the residence for the expense incurred. Bed and breakfast, no lunch and no dinner, more than 2000 euros (fortunately including the plane from Ljubljana), but the room was small and without a sea view, despite a specific request, small bathroom with very small shower so that a person meat, let's say, does not fit, bathroom still in the 70s, with plastic bellows shower closure. Constant sewage smell. On Sundays the rooms are not tidied up. We asked for a change of room, but were offered a smaller room. Suitcases are not brought, you have to make your way up flights of stairs. I then noticed that the structure has no ramp, making it inaccessible to those with walking problems or the elderly (perhaps they will say that they can stay at home, but that's not right). The breakfast room is quite large but perhaps for a three-star hotel it should be modernized. The offer is rather poor, the fruit is few, the biscuits are not good, they are packaged, taken and placed in a jar, the dessert seems the same , nothing in particular, the bacon is cold, the pineapple juice watered down. The pool is nice and luckily the staff are courteous. Unfortunately for the above money, beach service is not provided and therefore if you want to go to the nearby beaches you have to pay between 12 and 15 euros every day for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Then there are restaurants 400/500 meters away, the nicest is Amoopy Royal which also has apartments and which I recommend. I forgot to add that there is no entertainment and the kids don't know what to do once dinner is over. The TV doesn't get Italian channels and the wifi is slow. I'm not complaining, but I think that for that amount the quality of the services should be increased and the dinner service should also be added. I therefore recommend Karpathos but I do not recommend the structure because of the bad quality / price ratio.

we stayed at the amoopi bay hotel for two weeks. when you are in this hotel you feel at home or among friends. everything is well maintained and lovingly designed. From the flowers to the friendly service at breakfast or at the pool bar. The weekly barbecue is also perfect and tastes great. We have been coming here for many, many years, sometimes twice a year. The perfect location, the family atmosphere, the staff, the bosses, etc. are unique. You feel as comfortable as if you were at home! Most of the rooms have a large terrace with a wonderful view of Amoopi Bay. The gardens are lovingly designed and very well maintained. The absolutely sufficient breakfast can be enjoyed on the terrace with a sea view. We can definitely recommend Amoopi Bay and are already looking forward to our next stay in September!
