Anyone who knows me or reads my reviews will know how reluctant I am to do this: I didn't feel comfortable at the Hotel Venus! I'll start at the beginning. We are on a motorcycle trip again. Like so often. On the way back from Poland, this time we wanted to travel back via the Czech Republic. Carlsbad sounded great. In order to be able to visit the city, we were once again looking for a hotel in the center and, since we were traveling with two new motorcycles, definitely had a parking space. We found the Hotel Venus on the usual platforms under the mandatory condition of a parking space and found it pleasant. So I reserved a double room. And I paid immediately via Paypal. We arrived there in the afternoon, around 4:30 p.m., and parked the motorcycles in front of the hotel. Before I had even taken off my helmet, the receptionist came out of the hotel and told us that we weren't allowed to park there. We said we had a reservation, but she complained and complained and then went back to the hotel. If I hadn't already paid for the night, I would have continued immediately! I went into the hotel and the rude woman continued to be angry that I spoke English to her. After all, I am German and can therefore speak German! It was out of kindness that I didn't communicate in my native language. Because what does it look like if, as a German, you simply assume that the whole world has to speak German?!? So we switched to German. The woman accused me of having only reserved a double room and no parking space. I explained that we chose the hotel because it had parking. The woman kept showing me a sign that was on the reception counter. On the sign there was a text in different languages, which consisted of about 5 sentences each. I couldn't read it straight away and asked if there wasn't a "real parking lot"? The unfriendly receptionist then asked provocatively: Can you not read? Here!!!” and turns the sign in my face again. It said that the parking spaces in front of the hotel had to be cleared from 8:00 a.m. due to street cleaning. So I said: "OK, then we'll move the bikes at 8:00 a.m." Then the receptionist said: No, the bikes have to be gone by 7:30 a.m.! I had to pay 12 euros for a parking space that I was only allowed to use until 7:30 in the morning. The woman continued to complain: What would I think, it was a spa town... Yes, but that's why I was looking for a hotel with a P! She portrayed me as stupid. I felt bullied and very uncomfortable. We were not welcome here and the unfriendly woman made us feel that with every word! Again: If I hadn't already paid for the hotel room, we wouldn't have stayed here!!! How negative, unfriendly and condescending! You shouldn't be welcomed like this in any hotel!! Why me anyway
