The place is clean inside but couple of years ago was better..The most scary and worrying issue is that no even first aid , if there is anybody wounded or needs help , unfortunately, he ll find no help ….Though five years ago ,there used to be a nurse on duty till very late at night … No variety of food ,, most of the food is tasteless… Suddenly, I find soft drinks added on my room number , I had to fight to be cancelled.. The Place deteriorated to the extreme…Even the efficient doctors and nurses left…. Don’t recommend Radium Palace…as a healthy useful Spa or Wellness… Using the lift is a very big issue ,as one of the lifts wasn’t working and till we left it hasn’t been repaired.. The place should make some ramps to facilitate the movement of the elders ,wheelchairs, crutches etc…this has to be highly considered… More care and attention is needed to that lovely place..

Everything was of poor quality since before my arrival. Communication was very poor, complicated , it took me 5emails, 3 phone calls and chats in WhatsApp to get few appointments booked! The hotel itself is very old, no AC on all floors except for the fifth floor. The ACs on the fifth floor are old and barely working. I was charged different price for the same coffee, lady at the bar seems to never smile, always grumpy. Some staff are nice and helpful , but some are very rude and shouldn’t work in hospitality field as they are clearly hating their job and the people in general. Such is the lady at the restaurant who refused to provide me with cutleries and didn’t care to prepare the table for the breakfast because I had no “card”. I told her I have breakfast paid and will bring you the card after the breakfast since I had no much time left before my next treatment (I didn’t get the card for breakfast at the reception during check in). She didn’t care to check the guest list or do anything to resolve the incident, which is her job. But what really surprised me is the rudeness of Mrs Monica at the basement level who is working with patients and is supposed to help them , not being rude the way she is. She doesn’t know what politeness and good customer service mean. Aggressive, she showed me out because I didn’t speak Czech language and she couldn’t understand me!!!! And when I asked her where is the “koupel” which is a Czech word, she still showed me out and didn’t care to help / understand me. This is not just a hotel, this is a rehabilitation center , which needs to provide an extra care for the patients. Instead, they never seem to surprise with the worst service and bad manners. Also, the location for the treatments are marked differently from those on the rooms, which is very confusing since I don’t speak Czech. Careless receptionist said no one had any issues with it before and smiled at me sarcastically, thanks for helping 👍🏻😂 Renting a room on Airbnb will be definitely a much more pleasant experience. Objectively, the worst experience and wasted time and money.

We live nearby, across the border in Germany - and were curious to experience this hotel, which is one of the largest hotels offering spa treatments etc. in this historical 'spa triangle' of north-western Czech republic. We chose one of the higher-end rooms since we heard that this would mean having your meals in a special smaller, higher-quality restaurant (the 'blue saloon'). The room was huge - very clean and comfortable - although it didn't have a shower (?!), which we found strange, given that the facility had a major overhaul not so long ago. As some other reviews suggested, the impression we had was of a 'sanatorium-hotel' - i.e. the majority of guests staying there at the time were there for the various treatments and to avail of the famous (but medically unproven) 'radon baths'. We were curious about that aspect - but were mainly interested in spending a relaxing few days in a nice hotel, with nice surroundings. Which was certainly an issue - Jachymov turned out to be a rather run-down and shabby small town, with absolutely nothing else interesting to offer. We ended up going on day trips to nearby Carlsbad (beautiful old Europe style - plenty of great hotels - the fantastic GRAND HOTEL PUPP, similarly priced as the RADIUM PALACE - will definitely be our choice next time) and into the hills of Western Bohemia. - Not to forget however: by far the best experience at the RADIUM PALACE was the food; as predicted by friends, the meals, including service and atmosphere, in the BLUE SALOON were excellent, we really enjoyed that part.

This place was one of my most comfortable places but this time when I came I found it deteriorating,… The place isn’t clean as before..They don’t respect Arabs much, the food is always mixed with pork or red wine..that we as moslems can’t eat… The rest of the food is rarely eatable…The area is very noisy as they are doing a sort of maintenance to the streets nearby, due to this , you wake up on a very noisy horrible loud machines working starting from 7 am till 8 pm , continuously nonstop machines …unbearable that made all of us very nervous and uncomfortable ,that we can’t rest, when we complained , they said nothing to be done as this is the Government , fine, but we should have been informed before coming , we are staying in a wellness that we can’t sleep in .. It is known that the place is quite costly to receive a good service… The therapist aren’t all qualified or efficient ,some of them don’t even know how to deal with patients ,we have to make complains every now and then.. No supervision on room cleanliness no wonder if you enter your room will find dead flies ..They should try to improve themselves and get more workers to clean windows and the place as before…

This is not a 4-star hotel, but an upscale spa sanatorium with authoritarian rules. The term "hotel" is misleading; in the house rules posted, the owner describes his house as an "accommodation facility". This house is not suitable for normal people seeking relaxation. Guests are treated with unbelievable rudeness and arrogance. There are authoritarian house rules that resemble a youth hostel. When you walk through the house and meet staff, you are not greeted, but ignored; at most you are given a grumpy look. The average guest is well over 60. These are people who need radon baths due to their illnesses. This is the main reason why people travel to this sanatorium. The food is below average. Anyone who rates the food well has no comparison to other hotels or no expectations of a 4-star hotel (don't believe the promotional videos on the homepage!). The only exception was the beef brisket in onion and beer sauce. It was good, but ended in explosive diarrhea. Anyone who gives this sanatorium a full score either has no idea about comparable establishments or is blinded by the impressive backdrop of the building. The zenith of this establishment's heyday is long past. Do not book this establishment under any circumstances if you are looking for a good hotel!

The house is impressive, extremely well maintained and its architecture and furnishings take its guests back to the beginning of the last century. My room was very large, beautifully furnished, quiet and with a beautiful view of the valley. During my stay there were four wonderful harp and piano concerts. The staff is very helpful, courteous and professional. The spa area is perfectly organized. All treatments start on the minute. I had a total of 42 treatments, 12 of which were radon baths. Special thanks go to my doctor Dr. Radovan Kamenec for the comprehensive advice and for prescribing the optimal treatment and to my very nice, always friendly and always smiling supervisor at the radon baths Ms. Petra Hulakova. Thanks to these employees in the spa department I felt particularly comfortable and welcome. All in all a very nice memory of the Hotel Radium Palace.

My husband and I visited the Radium Palace sanatorium for the second time. Everything was just great! At the reception, at the doctor's, during procedures and in the restaurant - friendly and helpful staff are everywhere. Dr. Radovan Kamenets talks very carefully with patients and prescribes the necessary procedures, by the way they are very pleasant, the nurses during the procedures are very friendly, especially Petra Gulakova, who gave us radon baths. The rooms are always very cozy and clean, thanks to the maids Galina Voronina and Angela Yanenko. Martina Chaikova gave a very good massage. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very friendly, and the food is beyond praise, excellent restaurant dishes. And most importantly, excellent treatment that restores health. In general, we are very grateful to the entire staff of the sanatorium and congratulate you on the Holidays! We wish you new success! Zhanna and Vladimir Suslovich.
