Travelling in a T5 Transporter with awning - 2 adults 3 kids (10 - 14). 30 min check in, even though checked in online prior to arrival... Security staff in reception entrance extremely rude with no interpersonal skills... (the fact they need security tells you a little bit about the campsite).. pitch ok, different neighbours might have made it slightly better - not fans of Team GB during my stay anyway (3 mutterings of hi all week...)... even though I believe I'm polite and we where all shut up up 10pm.. the Foghorn from Germany across the way had no noise appreciation anyway. Toilets and showers where immaculate, though the staff worked hard to keep it that way.. some campers are absolute trollops that cannot clean up after themselves... Queuing is not a thing in Europe (rather Germany) as I was made to wait a slight bit longer in just about everything I queued for at the expense of holiday makers from Germany, even with my expression of displeasure well vocalised..... we are good and well drilled at being patient in the UK. This is a very Germany orientated campsite.. with the remainder made up of dutch, polish and Italians... we seemed to be the only British during our 4 day stay. The supermarket on the park is decent enough for basic provisions, and the pool bars, restaurants and street food area are actually quite good. However cash is a must so bring Euros or face getting ripped off by the Euronet ATMs on the campsite. The only place that takes card is the Supermarket. The sea is crystal clear and has an abundance of marinelife to look at. Water shoes are a must as the rocks are slippy and quite sharp but once in to swim height, you will enjoy the warm albeit a bit salty water and the marine life below - the jelly fish are non dangerous but come and go with the current. Checkout was even longer (42mins) with an extremely rude and short tempered non English speaking security guard, waving and shouting in German at people in the queue then when not understanding him losing his temper more a little like a highly experienced Sergeant Major... "keep shouting sir, they'll soon understand"... Overall this is a large campsite designed to cater for the mass influx of european holiday makers. Think Butlins on steroids in the UK.. we reckoned in excess of 4000 people during our stay which made everything for the staff stressful and super busy. I suppose it was the height of the summer holidays so was absolutely cashing in after a few turbulent years of travel... Sadly we won't be returning anytime soon, instead we may venture further south for a slightly more laid back and relaxing experience.... Currently in Slovenia and it's amazing.. Camping Mozirje to be exact and it is stunning...
