Comfortable bed, powerful shower, albeit the bathroom becomes a wet room in the process. Breakfast good variety. Hotel very clean. Stayed in the hotel for a conference. Lunches provided were average. Hotel is about a 15 min walk from Gros Karben station and is a bit out of town. Karben itself is quite industrial so unlikely to be a short break holiday destination.

Let's get the big one out of the way: I booked on ********** and the description says A/C. Well, there's no A/C here. If you stay in a hot summer like we did, brace yourself. Also, please note that there are TWO Luxstays in Karben. We first tried to check in at the one across the train station, no luck. We finally figured out that we were at the Luxstay Karben Mitte but had booked at the Luxstay Karben, which was an easy 7 minute walk away. Check-In was through a machine which didn't like my credit card. Thankfully there was a person there at the time and she was able to help (using the very same credit card). We would also have appreciated a fridge for cold drinks. Especially given the lack of an A/C. In-room safe didn't work. Aside from that, it was a nice place to stay. Functional. Clean. Quiet. A self-service bar on the honor system, with patio seating. On return visits I wouldn't hesitate staying here again--unless it's another hot summer.

Der Self Service Check in war unproblematisch. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes und ruhiges Zimmer (13) im Erdgeschoss. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und sauber. Das Bad war auch sauber, aber etwas klein. Nicht akzeptabel fand ich die Dusche. Diese war rund, ca. 100cm Durchmesser und hatte nur einen Duschvorhang. Diesen wiederum konnte man nicht so schließen, dass das Duschwasser nur in der Wanne ablief und so war das Bad innerhalb kurzer Zeit unter Wasser… Wer denkt sich so etwas aus? Ich würde hier wieder buchen, wenn ein anderes Zimmer eine vernünftige Duschgelegenheit bietet.
