We mainly went for wildlife. The staff treated us wonderfully. The food quality location was excellent. We did a night safari for small cats. Night safari was excellent. Mammals Chinkaras Blue bull Jackal about 25 to 30 Bengal fox 1 Wolves 4 Jungle cat 1 Hynae 2 sightings Hare and wild boar

Absolutely beautiful location. Simply stunning. Accommodation was fabulous. Staff were so welcoming. Hospitality was excellent, Food was delicious. We can’t fault it. We took advantage of the evening boat tour on the lake and the village walking tour. Both included in the price. Such an amazing experience.

On arriving at Ramathra Fort we had to give way to a pair of jackals on the track leading to the hotel. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our room, which had a commanding view over the surrounding farmland and countryside. We had an excellent curry dinner and the following morning enjoyed a rowing boat trip over the tranquil Kalisil Lake. After a relaxing day at the fort, we took an evening game drive over the adjoining Daang Valley and saw several species of game. We were well looked after throughout our stay in this magnificent old fort and would highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in experiencing a taste of historic and rural India.

A great place - wonderful tents and rooms - and since some of them are being renovated - they will be even better. A great place for fine conversations, food and some fun time. Safaris are very quiet, without hoards of noisy tourists. Ideal for wildlife photographers. Also ideal for people who would like to explore the rural life of rajasthan.

Excellent location - remote and quiet after the noise of the cities Good food - freshly prepared Room was very comfortable and soacious with a great view All the staff were friendly and helpful The sunset boat trip on the lake was stunning with good views of the sun setting, birds, and even a crocodile in the distance The walking visit to the local village gave us a picture of rural life - all those in the village we were intoruced to were friendly and welcoming and wanted us to take their pictures!

The service, the rooms, the food and the activities were superlative! We stayed here for2 nights as part of our Golden Triangle family holiday and wished we’d booked a few more days. Everyone was so welcoming - we enjoyed our trips out (to the village, on the lake, and to the buffer one where we were lucky enough to see a leopard close up). We also enjoyed the jacuzzi and day beds on the turrets, browsing for gifts in the shop and chatting to the owner to learn the history of the property. We recommend a stay here!

Lovely escape from the chaotic cities of the Golden Triangle. Two nights here was perfect to relax and experience village life in rural India. We stayed in the tented accommodation which was more like glamping! The fort provides breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a boat ride on the lake and a guided tour of a local village in the tariff. You can even do a safari at an extra cost. Great staff too. Loved the spa pool on the hot afternoons. Highly recommended.
