We stayed here twice over the course of a safari. It was a lovely spot and the best part were the balconies of the rooms overlooking various gardens which were very peaceful to spend the evenings reading on. The dinner buffets were very delicious.

Very atmospheric and relaxing environment with delicious food, huge, comfortable rooms and bathrooms and stunning views from the balcony. There's even a fireplace in the room to make your stay as relaxing as possible. In the morning, during the breakfast, they provide paper boxes and properly packed food so that you can compile your own lunch box (if you are amidst your safari adventure).

Ok place. Stayed one night on our way to Ngorogoro and Serengeti. Lovely rooms and good bar and restaurant. Did not test out poll but it all looked like it was in a good shape and clean. As transport «mid way hub» it worked fine allthough the roads leading there is a bit tough.

The lodge is great, with big rooms. There is a bar and a restaurant with very tasty food. Breakfast has a good variety of food and an option to take basket if you are leaving early. Pool is good option. Friendly staff and very eager to serve you. Lovely stay

I have spent a night in the Marera Valley Lodge with my wife and 15 years old daughter during our recent safari trip to Tanzania. The hotel has amazing big rooms and a fantastic pool area. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Ngorongoro area.

This lodge, opened in 2018, offers a more refined experience compared to the Bougainvillea Lodge and Country Lodge. It features 28 well-appointed rooms, including family rooms accommodating up to 6 people and twin rooms for up to 4 guests. Each room is equipped with a cozy fireplace, ensuring warmth and comfort. The property includes a lounge bar with both indoor and outdoor seating, a spacious swimming pool, and a spa for relaxation. Full Board is the most popular plan, with alcohol and sodas available at an additional cost. Wi-Fi is accessible in the main building, covering the restaurant, bar, reception, and pool area. The lodge is surrounded by lush gardens featuring vegetable plots, coffee plantations, and fruit trees, creating a serene atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a 15-minute jogging path for a refreshing walk or run. For honeymooners, special touches like private dinners and room decorations make the stay even more memorable. Powered by solar energy, the lodge combines sustainability with modern comforts, making it a standout choice for a tranquil and luxurious getaway.

Marera Valley Lodge was a refreshing change from tented camps, offering a relaxing pool area to unwind by. The grounds were lovely, and the amenities were nice, but the service didn’t quite meet the high standard set by other lodges we stayed at. Additionally, the overly starched bed sheets detracted from the comfort of the rooms. That said, it was still a pleasant place to stay and provided a nice break in the middle of our safari adventure.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Couldn't see much of Marera Valley from my room, if I was supposed to. The grounds were nice, interior of the main building not too bad as well but very stuffy at times as there was no aircon. Meals weren't very nice. For the price it was nowhere near worth it, and you even had to pay for bottled water. BUT coffee and tea were free. Staff tried to be friendly, but I had the feeling that we weren't welcome. Their attitude at times was poor. I would find somewhere else to stay. Not worth the $$$

We stayed in a tree bed room. Everything was perfect! we slept very well, dinner was ample and with good choice at the buffet. I took a massage and it was very nice too! overall, a very pleasant stay, definitely worth it! The service was impeccable.
