Heevan Houseboat

I booked this hotel for my parents as they were visiting srinagar for the very first time. I was little worried booking a hotel in the lake as my friends told me not to book it. But all my worry went away because the hotel was very clean, good looking and aesthetic. Food was very tasty. The owner and the staff were very friendly. So, i will highly recommend the hotel and i will definitely book it for myself when i will visit srinagar. Thank you to the hotel staff for taking a good care of my parents while there stay.

It’s one of nice houseboat to stay in srinagar. I stayed here for one night. Specious, neat and clean rooms. All rooms have ac. You can get beautiful view of lake and mountains from the boat. Staffs were very friendly. Average breakfast. My check-out time was at 12pm, after knowing my flight timings owner extended it, thanks to that.

Disappointing Stay Due to Poor Amenities and Service We stayed for two nights on a houseboat Unfortunately, the AC stopped working after 2 AM, and there were power cuts that made the fan stop as well. The staff's indifferent attitude made us feel trapped with no alternatives. Overall, the experience was far from relaxing or enjoyable.

It was a wonderful and pleasant stay in heevan houseboat. Beautiful view. Will give 5 stars for the ambience of the houseboat. Very big rooms with ac, bath tub, dining hall. We a group of 10 senior citizens enjoyed a lot. Thanks a lot ya-seen bhai for your lovely hospitality. Highly recommend.

Dinner which was served only at 8.30 pm was not sufficient for all guests and have to wait for it to be made again. The hotel decides when you need to take a shower. Hot water will be provided only in the morning. Bathroom not maintained well. Broken bathtub. For a family room only 2 towels will be provided and you have to argue for the extra towel. Charge you for ac rooms and they will switch it off in the night. No proper plug points to charge electron devices

It is a beautiful boat but we had a lousy experience. We had asked for an air conditioned room. Upon check in we were shown to a non ac room. When we asked to be moved, they told us the ac does not work. We complained to the travel agent who made the reservation. We were promptly moved to an ac room. When we went to bed and tried to switch on the ac, it didn’t work. The controls for the ac are outside the room. We were told that they didn’t have power and the generator couldn’t handle the ac. It is stifling hot and suffocating inside the room. When we complained, the ac got turned on but was switched off in a couple of hours. No one was available in the middle of the night to switch it back on. It would have been cooler to sleep outside than inside the room. We are only allowed 1 bucket of hot water per guest per day. When we asked for a bucket of hot water in the evening, we were told we will only get it in the morning. We were asked why we are taking a shower in the evening.The shower curtain in the bathroom is filthy, Very few plug points provided in the room to charge any electronics and the wifi was spotty at best. Dinner was supposed to be served at 8pm but was only served at 8:40 after repeatedly insisting. Quantity provided was not enough for everyone on the boat and we had to wait around till the food was replenished. As I said amazingly beautiful boat but the service and amenities leave much to be desired.

Food is not upto the quality, non ac room was provided. Also power supply was not available in the morning hours. Cleanness issue.

Hospitality was great, served us dinner and breakfast with proper aesthetic Kashmir vibe, the staff was very generous and exactly same as shown in the pictures, must staycation houseboat with all the amenities and cherry on the cake was complimentary hot water bags from host side
