Marina Boutique Hotel

The couple running this very small 20ish rooms were very friendly. The bedroom was clean and tidy and had a nice balcony. The bathroom was very old with cracked tiles, corroded taps and at times no hot water. The breakfast was plentiful, either full English or omelette. Full English was swimming in fat so had toast the rest of my stay. The pool was cloudy and we noticed the filter pumps were not on and they were turned off at night. The pool also smelt of stagnant pond water so we were concerned so didn’t use it. Location good for beach 5 mins walk away and near shops etc

On arrival there was No swimming pool.. No notification when booking ..on disappointment,, Marina Boutique lied & said No hotel had swimming pools in March .. on research all hotels in the area said pools were in effect !! No restaurant after lunch..Hotel claimed they weren’t responsible for food.. in the middle of nowhere with no food & no interest in helping to find a delivery .. I was given the last of some sour milk for tea,, I asked my son to ask, & ‘He’ was given a new carton from the fridge .. Wi-Fi was sporadic.. reception wasn’t equipped for non Turkish speaking .. The management had no interest in amending any of the issues.. booked for 10 days -after 2 nights we left as now it was discovered that the Pillows were filthy.. on closer inspection, everywhere was grimy ,, bath hadn’t been cleaned .. horrified when I saw the pillows.. ( what was lurking beneath) ? thankfully we found a place 100 Times better ,,Clean & friendly .. plus full catering for less money plus 3 swimming pools, next to a beautiful beach ..Marina Boutique are unfriendly, over priced & uninterested in the dissatisfaction & quality of low standards.. High price for Low quality .

A very nice hotel. Room was of good size. Only the guy who helps with luggage speaks English. The receptionist does not and she is most unfriendly. Doesn’t even try; offered no basic information. WiFi does not work. The air con doesn’t stay on because it’s connected to WiFi and that constantly goes off. Bed is like sleeping on cornhusks and has a scratchy blanket in top without a top sheet. The blanket doesn’t even span the width of the bed. The hotel is situated at the shipyard. Yes, where they work on the ships. So there’s workers, mechanics, tools, machinery, rubble all around. It’s at least 5km from the town so you have to taxi over to walk the promenade, go into the old city, or even go to a restaurant or bar. It’s most inconvenient! Especially if you are a tourist, on a tour, without a car. We complained to our tour company- One Nation - as to why they ever put clients way out there.

Seriously, who would build a hotel here. It is not by a marina, it is in the middle of a dry dock. It is about 2 km out of town, and although that would make for a nice walk in most places, traipsing through the dry dock is not something we planned on. That said, the rooms were comfortable and the staff helpful, but it does not make up for the unplanned industrial wake-up calls.

Lovely small hotel at the edge of town with great views access the bay and only a slow 15 minute walk into the main town or an easy ‘dolmush’ cheap ride outside hotel. Nice outside area and next door the small but adequate bar and restaurant looking over the bay . Nice stay and great rooms and service.
