Guests appreciate the spotless rooms and modern environment. The location on a beautiful island provides easy access to beaches and pools for a tranquil vacation.

Letoonia grew on us. I've tried to give a balanced opinion of the main points, for and against. It is set over huge grounds and took a couple of days to settle in and work out where everything was. This wasn't helped by the lack of an old fashioned paper-based welcome pack. It's billed as 5 star, however this is definitely based on general facilities rather than room quality. We liked that it wasn't dominated by any particular nationality, and catered equally for all. The food was mostly excellent with lots of choice each day. The fish night was particularly enjoyable, as were the Turkish specialities. It should be noted that the hotel is totally pork free so other half missed his morning full English, but was happy with the omelettes cooked to order! Another oddity was the absolute lack of garlic in any dish whatsoever. We avoided the cereal after witnessing gangs of kids helping themselves to it with sticky hands. We used the adults only section at lunch and in the evening as there were a lot of high pitched children in the main area and this was therefore a more civilised option, but way too far from the coffee machine in the morning! We tried the Dolphin twice and Chopsticks a la carte, both were well worth the supplementary charge, with high quality dishes and unlimited wine and champagne to accompany them. Both were in beautiful settings and the staff were lovely and attentive, especially Elif who supplied extra bread to feed the fish at the Dolphin The daytime entertainment team were all enthusiastic and great fun around the main pool. Special mention to Josep who kept the more unruly water polo participants in line and made every ability welcome! The buffet restaurant staff, the customer relations team and all the bar staff were all friendly and helpful and are a credit to the hotel. The shuttle ferry was a lovely option but a bit hit and miss. It was necessary to arrive well ahead of the departure time in order to ensure you got on as it departs earlier if full (we had to wait for the next one from Letoonia but there is a handy beach bar not far away to wait) The WiFi was absolutely awful. This was especially frustrating given that the hotel use QR codes to direct you online to find out anything about the facilities. WiFi was practically nonexistent in our room even though there was a repeater right outside. It was hopeless round the main gathering areas too, dropping out every couple of minutes. On enquiry, we were told it was "better than last year", which must have been non-existent. In a country that has always been great accessing WiFi for free in any cafe or restaurant this was a big let down. Mobile phone calls are notoriously expensive so we wanted to rely on WhatsApp, but needed to time it for quiet periods to have any chance. The room itself was adequate. This was our third time at Letoonia having visited when our children were very young then teenagers and now adults. The holiday was to celebrate some life events and I had emailed the hotel to inform them of this in advance and was a little disappointed that nothing was done to mark this like a special towel arrangement, flowers in bed or even some sparking wine in our room. I also made reference that my husband is recovering from cancer surgery, however not recognised in the location of our room which was situated up many flights of outdoor steps. However, I did not want any of this to spoil our holiday and we managed. The room itself was pleasant and clean throughout our stay. We were situated above Dolphin beach and we had a lovely view. The food was amazing and I would say the best we have had here. The drinks and cocktails very nice and good variety. We only used the all inclusive restaurants and cannot comment on the paid for restaurants. The hotel staff on the whole were amazing and helpful, the only exception being the one occasion I needed to sort something with reception and this was not great due to. Some lovely fish to watch in the sea and well worth brining a snorkel. The resort is so pretty and gardens well attended. We only watched one of the shows in the evening as they appeared the same as the ones we attended over the years here. The one we saw was good. We had an excellent time and hope to visit again in future. The hotel appears to pride itself on eco awareness, however could improve on their efforts in relation to single use plastics. Water bottles could be replaced with refillable drinks canisters as we have seen elsewhere. Many of the deserts are displayed in plastic containers which could be replaced by glass or self served from bowls. The ice creams these days are mainly pre packaged and again single use plastic wrap could be avoided. Other hotels replenish shower gel dispensers etc to avoid the small plastic bottles in the bathroom. In all we love Letoonia and wish despite minor issues that we were still there!
