Kaohsiung Yancheng District Hotels

my second stay in this hotel, good location nrar the tourist attractions Pier 2 , Love river and Kaohsiung harbour etc., also 500m walk from the nearest metro bars and restaurants all within walking distance. this time i arrived early(abt 10.30am) with the typhoon and rain outside, the guy in front desk kindly enough to let me in the room. also good to mention is the interior of the place is nice , will stay if i visit Kaohsiung again

This hotel is quite busy, likely due to its location at Pier 2, a popular area with tourists. The check-in and check-out process is impressively efficient and automated, taking just a minute, which I appreciated. The breakfast area was definitely the highlight of the stay—there was a great variety of food and coffee, with small changes every day to keep it interesting. The hotel also offers a self-laundry service for TWD100, which is convenient. On the downside, there were a few issues with the room. The bed was uncomfortable, as it sank too much, and the bedsheets and towels appeared a bit greyish. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell and was very mouldy, which made the overall experience less enjoyable.

Had to stay an additional night due to a typhoon. Couldn't think of a better hotel to do that. Gym and the VIP Lounge were nice.

The location is convenient and close to the MRT. There are also snacks around. It is not far to walk to the Pier-2 Art Center. There are also duck meat treasures. The old business district is more unique. The price is cheap, I will stay again next time

I love the hotel. Everything that you come to expect from a holiday inn brand. Upon entering the hotel, you smell a very refreshing fragrance. And through the hallway. I like the snacks provided. And coffee machine. Clean bedding, comfortable room

There is a light rail station outside the hotel, which is convenient, but the light rail runs every 10 minutes on average, so you have to wait for a long time The industrial style decoration is comfortable and beautiful, but the lighting is yellowish and it is difficult for girls to put on makeup; the water pressure in the bathtub is low and it takes time to fill it with water There were a lot of mosquitoes in the room on the first floor. We had lit mosquito coils on the balcony but it didn't help much. The next day, the housekeeper took the initiative to help add electric mosquito coils in the room, but frankly speaking, the situation didn't improve much. The child even had a mild allergic reaction There are electric scooters outside the hotel, but we couldn't download the relevant app so we couldn't rent one. If you go a little further, there are other rental companies to choose from. It's quite relaxing to ride a scooter to visit art attractions and specialty shops along the way.

The interior of the room is clean and the location is great. It will be my first choice hotel next time I travel to Kaohsiung. The reception staff had a good attitude and the lobby was clean and tidy. The parking management staff's guidance and service in guiding vehicles to park is excellent.

Really friendly staff and the decor is unique to say the least (so much so I walked past it the first time thinking it was a kindergarten). Breakfast buffet is ok, plenty for vegetarians, though make sure you get there early. Rooms were clean and cosy but the room cleaning service was confusing - as I understood, you had to go give your room card to an 阿姨 between certain hours. Hotel is a 10-15 min walk from Yanchengpu mtr station, though do not use the directions from Ctrip app in Google or Baidu as they are incorrect. Put the name of the hotel directly into your map app or waste an hour trying to find the hotel in the wrong locations like I did.

Booking a room at this price is cost-effective, and the counter staff is friendly. The only thing that made me unhappy was that my order did not include breakfast. After placing the order, I asked several times whether I could order breakfast coupons first. The customer service and the on-site counter on the day of check-in both said that I could go to the restaurant on the same day and pay cash directly if I liked the dishes. The next day, when I wanted to pay for breakfast, I was told that guests with meal coupons would be given priority and I would have to wait for a table. This was acceptable, but then I asked how long the wait would take and whether I would definitely get a seat. The restaurant replied (there may not be seats available), which made me feel a little uncomfortable at the moment. Why didn’t they let me buy meal coupons first or directly told me that last-minute meals were not accepted during the booking process? Can the restaurant and the counter communicate and coordinate to avoid this happening again?

The room is very small, the bathroom is also small, and the main point is that the bed is a standard double bed, not an independent spring bed, it should be a normal spring bed, so when the person next door turns over and moves during sleep, the bed shakes a lot, and the sound insulation is not very good.
