Amazing room and view!!! If I have a chance to visit Kaoshuing again, I will probably choose the grand hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they speak English very well. The hotel provides the Chinese custom for guess to where and take a picture with the hotel view.

Not a new hotel but it’s very beautiful. The nature view will never get old. Rooms are spacious. Perfect for a holiday.

Lovely hotel and staff. Breakfast was enjoyable and had a good selection with attentive staff. Received good recommendations for food.

Super surrounding environments but room being outdated.

Having stayed at both Grand Hotels in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the Taipei location is hands down the premier location. The Grand Hotel in Taipei is genuinely a delightful establishment, perhaps my favorite hotel in all of Taiwan. However, the same cannot be said for the Kaohsiung location. It is clearly secondary and even a bit neglected. The hotel and its accommodations are fairly nice but at the same time feel quite outdated. The location is relaxing though, if you want to be able to sit by a pool or on a balcony looking out at a lake. Probably the biggest disappointment of my stay was that I was denied entry to the dinner buffet. People who were not guests at the hotel had already reserved all the seats. Luckily, I was able to secure a seat at a different restaurant in the hotel. I think hotel guests should have priority for seats at the buffet. When I was denied access to the buffet it felt like I was being treated as a second class citizen. “Everyone here has reservations…” the hostess told me. Well… how many of them were actually staying at the hotel? From what I could tell, not many of them were.

Chinese style architecture. The room has a high ceiling, giving it a good sense of space. The balcony overlooks Chengcheng Lake, and you can watch butterflies in the morning. The breakfast buffet is top notch. The service is attentive without being over the top.

Favorite swimming pool However, you have to enter and exit from the lobby. It would be better if you can provide robes.

Kaohsiung Grand Hotel is close to Chengcheng Lake and has a very wide walking and hiking area. The hotel's swimming pool is very clean, with many flowers, plants and trees, it is beautiful! At this time, when you go to the Grand Hotel in Kaohsiung, there are also yellow ducks that match the occasion, which adds to the liveliness of an ancient hotel.

First of all, the architecture of the Grand Hotel is very beautiful. The room is very high, so it looks particularly large. Next to the hotel is the beautiful Chengcing Lake, but it started to rain halfway through the tour, which was a bit regrettable. The hotel location is not rated high because the hotel shuttle bus needs to be booked in advance, and check-in can only be done at 4 pm. We pushed the stroller and walked down by ourselves. There was no sidewalk at all, which was very dangerous! So I think the hotel really needs to consider arranging shuttle buses at fixed points like Taipei Yuanshan! I didn’t feel the service, except for the friendly doorman who helped open the taxi door☹️ The mattress in the room was very hard! The shampoo and shower gel provided were obviously very cheap. . . And the lawn was bald, which was a bit unworthy of such a good building.

I stayed at the Grand Hotel in Taipei earlier, and this time I tried to stay at the Kaohsiung Mountain Hotel of the same brand. The facilities at Kaohsiung Mountain Hotel feel older, but they are still very noble, especially in the lobby.

Although the hotel is a bit old, the appearance and environment are beautiful, the service staff are polite, and the transportation is convenient.

The hotel has a scheduled scheduled shuttle bus, which is very convenient. This time I booked a lake view room, including breakfast, and free admission to Chengcheng Lake. I originally lived on the fourth floor, but there happened to be an event upstairs that was a bit noisy. After receiving feedback, they immediately changed rooms for us. There are cute little ducks at the door The night view is also good👍
