The hotel is really out of my expectation. The staff are very nice and helpful. The room is clean, especially the bathroom, the floor could keep dry even after the bath. This is my first accommodation on my first trip to Taiwan. My wife was very worried. Bedbugs and Mr. Bar I liked that the bathroom and toilet were separate and spacious. The bed is so big that two people can roll around and sleep comfortably. There were no bed bugs and the bed was clean. I think it would have been better if there were slippers in the room. I'm the type of person who doesn't use ribu often, but I wonder if there's someone like my wife who worries about it. I am writing a review. Ah, the night market is close.

5 mins walking distance from Orange line YanChengpu MRT. Room was cleaned and spacious for 2 pax although the window view wasn't spectacular. Washroom was very spacious too with dry and wet areas separated and the strong water shower spray was fantastic especially during hot weather now. Air-conditioned was great too. Highly recommended. 👍

Location: close to MRT and surrounded with variety of shops for food or quick shop for tourist. Room: size is great, you get everything you need and bathroom is clean is well. Water pressure is great, given this is a common problem for older building. But the bedding is quite uncomfortable, the blanket is literally just a piece of cover sheet which feels weird all night long. Insolation is average as you can hear people shutting door and partying at night. This is a budget hotel that you get what you paid for.

EExpatThis was the perfect spot for me personally because I was able to explore a few local areas. I took the HSR from Taipei and stayed only one night. I met a few locals within walking distance and the Central Park is a nice feature across the street. Although the Pier 2 Creative Park is still in the process of developing itself, I felt it was well worth it to go there for food, drinks, photos, and exploring there. The hotel room itself was amazing. As soon as I walked in I took a bunch of photos and posted on Facebook because I felt it was cooler than my apar**ent. I did not order the breakfast but I did have coffee from the café. There’s a few cute diners and photo shops down the street. There’s a dog café and a cat café not far from the hotel. Staff was very friendly. I had a teatime at intercontinental (which was a droll vibe), and I’m glad I chose not to stay there. I feel that Indigo gives a great value for the money and the design specialists were really detailed-oriented with some of the things they included in the rooms. Facilities were great. View was nice. Go see for yourself.

EEuniceWMy partner and I felt the most welcomed in Kaohsiung starting with the hotel. All the Front office staff were really helpful and responsive throughout our stay. Special mention for Polin (or Poline) from front office. She helped us check in and patiently answered my questions about the hotel and the surroundings. As we were waiting for our laundry, I approached Polin to ask for recommendations of places that we should visit, and she immediately asked if I preferred an English or Mandarin map. She then proceeded to recommend us places to visit and for us to know a little more about Kaohsiung for our short trip. Very clean room, although very small. As there was enough space and the showerhead had good water pressure, we really enjoyed the shower room. The shower floor also have anti slip stickers. Sadly, fridge was barely working, carpet seems old and the curtain and room was quite dusty. The breakfast wasn't good, we didn't have our breakfast there on our 2nd morning. There are 2 washer and 2 dryers that are complimentary for guests usage, and this was extremely helpful to us, because we were in Taiwan for 12days. The location is convenient and just a road away from Kaohsiung main station. Currently there is some construction in and around the station, therefore we had to walk a slightly further route to the hotel. There are so many fast food chains, local food stores, and 2 convenient stores nearby. Convenient location but a night market was also 15-20mins walking distance from the hotel. Will definitely come back here to stay when in Kaohsiung and have recommended others to stay here! Hopefully they can upkeep the hotel rooms in better conditions, and improve on their breakfast options.

KKai HsiangThe hotel room has been renovated. It is clean and bright. The TV is large and can be used to watch movies. The service staff on the second floor are friendly and provide coffee and biscuits in the evening. There is a large parking lot near the hotel. The location is very convenient. I will stay there again next time.

KKarieirakHotel staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. We managed to get two rooms side by side which is a plus point. Every floor has a water dispenser which is very useful if we need hot water. There is a laundry room on the third floor with free washing powder to use. Breakfast buffet on the second floor was really great, my family loves the variety of the food provided and everyday some of the items will be changed too. Hotel is located in between Kaohsiung station and Formosa Boulevard station. Currently there are renovation going on at Kaohsiung station which cause a slight detour if we were to walk over there. Walking time are both around 10mins. Overall we are really satisfied with the stay.

TTobias TI recently had the pleasure of staying at a wonderful hotel located in close proximity to the airport during my trip to Taiwan. From start to finish, my experience at this hotel was exceptional! Firstly, the hotel's convenient location near the airport made it an ideal choice for transit travelers like myself. The complimentary drop-off service provided by the hotel ensured a hassle-free journey to catch my flight. The efficient and timely transport service offered peace of mind, especially when dealing with early morning departures. When it comes to service, the hotel staff truly went above and beyond. From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I was greeted with warm smiles and a friendly welcome. The reception staff were knowledgeable, professional, and always ready to assist with any queries or requests. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate individual needs were truly commendable. Moving on to the rooms, I was pleasantly surprised by the modern, clean, and cozy ambiance. The well-appointed rooms were spacious enough to allow for a comfortable stay. The contemporary decor and tasteful furnishings added a touch of elegance to the overall experience. I particularly appreciated the attention to cleanliness and maintenance, as everything appeared to be in pristine condition. The hotel's amenities further enhanced my stay. The comfortable beds provided a good night's sleep after a long journey, and the well-equipped bathroom had all the necessary amenities. Additionally, the complimentary Wi-Fi kept me connected to my loved ones and allowed me to catch up on some work during my stay. To top it off, the hotel's dining options were delightful. The in-house restaurant offered a wide array of delicious local and international cuisine, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences. The attentive and friendly staff made dining a pleasurable experience. Overall, my stay at this Riverside hotel was nothing short of outstanding. The combination of its convenient location, excellent service, and modern, clean, and cozy rooms made it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to stay near the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and impeccable service during their visit to Taiwan.

SShie HwangCU hotel is a new hotel, reception is fully AI but if you need help, the receptionist will attend to you over the phone and even comes down to your room quickly! it is less than 10mins walk from kaohsiung station and right beside the clothing district for easy shopping! they also gave a complimentary snack! within walking distance to breakfast shops on the other end of the road, around 15min walk to san feng middle street to shop for dried goods. initially sound proof isnt good but overnight remained quite. laundromat and dryer services are cheap at TWD 35 each and packet detergent at TWD 10 if i remember correctly. will definitely stay here again!

GGuest UserThis hotel was excellent for a solo traveller. I can foresee some inconvenience if it was a couple or 2 friends staying here as there the bathroom is pretty much an open concept. i.e. would need to get changed inside the shower booth before coming out etc, and no proper door except a semi-opaque glass door. Having said, I was by myself for my stay so it was perfect room for me. Bed is comfy, place was clean. They have this machine check-in system which works fine, but I was a bit taken aback initially as I had to scan qr code, get internet and do things myself while just having reached the place with luggage etc. Not a biggie but would have been nice if the staff could check me in or offered a bit more help since there wasn't any other guests there either. I didn't use any other facilities but during the day the lobby operates as a cafe, and there is a laundry room in B1. Location is convenient and near Kaohsiung train station, the station is currently going through a big construction so if I had known, I probably would have chosen to stay somewhere near Formosa Boulevard instead given it has 2 MRT lines. But hotel-wise, it is near the station and have convenience stores/fast food options in walking distance.

清涼上市!It was close to the MRT station, you could take the U-Bike, and there was a famous breakfast restaurant within walking distance, so it was a convenient location for sightseeing. If you stay for multiple nights, they don't clean the room, and you have to ask the front desk to change your bath towels. There was no refill of tea or water, but there was a water server on the top floor, so I used that. The water in the shower room didn't get hot enough unless I let it run for a while.

GGuest UserHaving stayed at both Grand Hotels in Taipei and Kaohsiung, the Taipei location is hands down the premier location. The Grand Hotel in Taipei is genuinely a delightful establishment, perhaps my favorite hotel in all of Taiwan. However, the same cannot be said for the Kaohsiung location. It is clearly secondary and even a bit neglected. The hotel and its accommodations are fairly nice but at the same time feel quite outdated. The location is relaxing though, if you want to be able to sit by a pool or on a balcony looking out at a lake. Probably the biggest disappointment of my stay was that I was denied entry to the dinner buffet. People who were not guests at the hotel had already reserved all the seats. Luckily, I was able to secure a seat at a different restaurant in the hotel. I think hotel guests should have priority for seats at the buffet. When I was denied access to the buffet it felt like I was being treated as a second class citizen. “Everyone here has reservations…” the hostess told me. Well… how many of them were actually staying at the hotel? From what I could tell, not many of them were.
