Jiachu Manor (Lenggacuo Store)

This guesthouse is situated in Gongga Mountain Town, near the Lenggacuo A-line. While the road leading up to it was quite rough (they're currently under construction, thankfully!), the overall environment and service were excellent, with fantastic views right from your window. Rooms are equipped with supplemental oxygen, and if you bring your own oxygen bag, the owner kindly offers free refills upon departure. Breakfast was simple yet wholesome, and the bedding was super comfortable. It gets quite chilly at night, but the owner thoughtfully lit a stove, making the place wonderfully warm and cozy. A very cute, plump marmot also lives at the guesthouse; it's quite tame and lets you get close! As a parting gesture, the owner even gave us some Cordyceps he had personally gathered – a truly thoughtful gift we deeply appreciated. All in all, this is definitely a guesthouse I'd return to. I hope to come back next autumn to witness the majestic Gongga Sacred Mountain once more.

The room was incredibly spacious and featured a smart toilet. The bedding was exceptionally comfortable, and it was a thoughtful touch to find small Cokes provided alongside the complimentary mineral water. Cleanliness was top-notch; the room was spotless, and I particularly appreciated that all towels (both bath and hand) were disposable, ensuring excellent hygiene. The location is stunning, surrounded by vast grasslands and a gentle stream. It's super close to Quanhua Beach and offers convenient access for trips to Lenggacuo. The service truly stood out. The hosts genuinely treated guests like family. They warmly invited me for tea, and since I was traveling solo, they even extended an invitation to share a meal with them, which was incredibly thoughtful and made me feel right at home.

Couldn't have been happier! We had a vast meadow all to ourselves. The Tibetan-style architecture was stunning, and the common areas were spotless and beautiful. We booked a room with medical-grade diffused oxygen supply, which was perfect for those sensitive to altitude. The room itself was new, well-equipped, and quiet. But the real highlight was the incredible warmth of the owners – a young ******* man and his wife, a Sichuan native. Their service was exceptionally attentive. As soon as we arrived, they offered us tea and water, helping us shake off the travel fatigue. One evening, they even brought a selfie stick and spent a long time with us trying to capture stunning photos of the starry sky – we ended up with some masterpieces! In the morning, they taught us how to make tsampa. They also gifted us a road trip map and two cordyceps they had personally dug up, each presented in a small, individual bottle. To top it all off, they presented us with a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) when we left, adding a wonderful touch of ceremony to our departure. The guesthouse also has a permanent resident: Caicai, a charming marmot. It regularly shows up each day, waiting for guests to feed it. The owner even provides Want Want Shelly Biscuits for guests – apparently, marmots are surprisingly fond of them! The guesthouse's location is also superb, being very close to Zi Mei Pass, Quan Hua Terrace, and Leng Ga Cuo Lake. Unfortunately, we had limited time, or we would have gladly stayed a couple more days. We could have explored mushroom foraging in the woods nearby and had more time to soak in the breathtaking beauty of Western Sichuan. The owner's wife was in Kangding for supplies during our visit, but even from our phone call the night before, I could sense her incredible gentleness and patience. The next day, the owner made a video call to her and specifically had her greet us. She truly is a beautiful and kind hostess. Both of them speak so softly and gently, creating a wonderfully comfortable and pleasant ambiance. The guesthouse is run by the owner and his family. Resources are still limited in this area, and it's truly a challenge as they have to drive 5-6 hours to Kangding each week just for supplies. Hands down, this is the best guesthouse in the area when it comes to facilities. The rooms are brand new and impeccably clean. The owners are incredibly warm and hospitable. This is an absolute must-stay for families with children! You can feed Caicai, the marmot in their courtyard, and even go mushroom foraging in the mountains. The owner's stewed meat with mushrooms over rice is simply divine!
